If you carry with safety on with nothing in the chamber, you are leaving yourself open to being shot. Seconds count. You see him mess with the safety and rack the slide.

The best situation is to carry with safety off and one in the chamber and this video proves it. Even Nazir, who owned and carried the gun, forgot to do the necessary steps to turn his $500 club into a useful firearm.

...most people tend to look at problems from their own point of view, without considering that others might have different concerns, different needs, different levels of training, and so on. Failure to recognize this is harmful to open and honest debate, and in some cases becomes blatant elitism.

Ok, now that's different. I would definitely agree that experience with firearms is particularly relevant. The length of time one has held a CC permit, not so much.

The length of time one has a CC is the length of time a law abiding citizen has been CCing. Took me longer that two weeks to get comfortable OCing. CCing was a completely different thing. Shirts, jackets, new holsters. After two weeks CCing I still hadn't even decided on what system I liked the best. So the length of time one holds his CC is absolutely relevant when imposing one's will on others. (not directed towards you)

Hmmm, wonder where I heard that before?
(Thanks for the link IK)
