Indeed he was. Which, again, makes my point that trying to roll back anti-discrimination laws is a tough row to hoe. Opposition to what might be described as pro-discrimination-choice bill might well be taken as a sign of the support for anti-discrimination laws.

Ugh, we're getting too many stacked negatives and positives for me to keep track here. I guess I misunderstood the legislation he was referring to.

That's ok. So did he. :) He's just looking for a reason to disagree with and "prove" me wrong and to get my attention and a reaction. He is a troll.

And you repeatedly provide that reaction for him... making you no better! Gee, doesn't everyone here know the best way to deal with trolls? Ignore them!

If he is such a troll, as you claim, then why on earth do you continue to engage him? Why do you constantly lower yourself to the level of a troll, unless it's because proving your point is more important to you than the appearance of intelligence and maturity?

I think we all know the answer to that.

I have missed . . .

When the "Ignore" button is your friend.

I have missed a feature commonly available back when "online" meant using a modem to connect to a "BBS". The judicious use of the "Twit filter" made the experience so much more enjoyable. How I do miss such simple yet elegant solutions.

Another eatery that I like has their double glass front door 30.07 signs with Spanish version on the left door...and English on the right door. Problem is the RIGHT side door is customarily OPEN...rendering the English sign nonexistent.

In the early days of 30.06, I went into a credit union (where I'd been a member long before the CHL law), and was sitting in the waiting area waiting to speak to a loan officer.

I was reading a magazine, and glanced up at the entry doors, and my eyes bugged out when I saw a big 30.06 notice.

They were automatic sliding doors, which were open when I'd approached. When open, the side with the 30.06 notice slid behind a large display, making it unseeable.

I skipped out on the appointment, paid off what I owed them, and closed my account.

Benjamin Franklin observed that "The sting of a rebuke is the truth [therein]."

Your post stings a little.

My apologies for feeding the troll. I will attempt to do better in the future.

i am constantly surprised when folk hear a dissenter or outlier challenge, critically or perceived frivolously, their communique(s) and consistently and immediately resort to name calling, degradation, and belittlement of the responder in an attempt to discredit the responder's commentary.

now in one individual's case, as has been pointed out numerous times, this individual consistently engages in this type of perverse behaviour WHENEVER anybody challenges them, with their explanation following along the lines..."if you are ready for an adult conversation...ad nauseam" then when challenged again...the behaviour is repeated.

another fascinating facet that truly amazes me, is individual's put folk on 'ignore', for whatever rationale.

how on earth would we have anything of marvel in today's world if ppl put those who challenged them on 'ignore' and missed out of something significant...maybe that is how Lockheed sent their Mars scout off using metric instead of inches cuz someone on the design team had the one individual who actually caught the discrepancy on 'ignore'!

i wonder, in passing how we would have ended up with the articles that founded our country if the dissenters/outliers were treated with belittlement, degradation and name calling by those who worked towards and framed our founding documents. (Hamilton/Burr notwithstanding as one lost their life and the other their political career and personally believe it was the first political assassination in our country's history especially with the damage to the Federalist movement as it took the staunch support, Hamilton out, and decimated Burr's political ambitions)

sorry, that any of you can't accept challenges or dissension from what you perceive as a frivolous cynic to your undisputed commentary but will continue to call out those that engage in defaming comments just to bolster your insecure ego.
