While obviously the vast majority of even semi-seasoned open carriers are intimately familiar with the laws and precautions, and have some actual experience doing so,are you sure that you are going to be able to educate Joe Gunowner sufficiently in such a short time ? And whenJoe does get arrested for a violation of one thing or another, who will he, LE and the media want to point fingers at?

I'm not trying to throw a wetblanket over this suggestion, but I am concerned about trying to force open the floodgates by encouraging the unfamiliarandinexperienced to engage in something of this nature without the proper guidance or coaching. GFSZ's...LE contacts...(e) inspections...Terry searches...I.D. demands...LE contacts...responding to the public...responding to shopkeepers.... Did I mention LE contacts ?

Fine, call me overly cautious (just don't call me late for dinner).

I like the idea of demonstrating on a paticular day like somewhere near 4th of July. Need to do it so as to reach alot of people where we are OCing So as to educate if possible.

Yes all need to understand the risks or they probably should not do it. We all understand and accept the responsibility. everyone needs to get educated prior to OC

Thx E...

Here is the petition that a few of us in southern cal created to oppose AB1934. We have been getting signatures at various events such as radio show events, gun show events, etc.

Please print out several copies of this petition and leave it withyour local gun shops, ranges, etc. Also take copies of it with you to your local gun shows. Get as many signatures as you can.

When collecting signatures, tell everyone to contact their local State Senate Rep urging them forcefully, yet tactfully and peacefully, to vote no on this bill.

We are working on getting a single point of contact to submit these petitions to the State Senate. So when you are done collecting signatures, post here and we will let you know where to send them.

Please act quickly, we are running out of time.
