of course there is likely more to the story than a refusal to identify.

I'll pull that up when I get home.

I was walking down the road with an openly carried handgun. In a drop leg holster.

2 women called about a man with a LARGE scary looking gun on his leg and 3rd caller was a man who said there is a man carrying a gun in a holster on his leg, I think it's 9mm.

3rd caller was told that the police were not supposed to contact the man unless they saw him doing something (illegal.)

Cops stopped pulled a gun on me, asked for my name I told them to show me the law that says I must give them that information.....

Sorry not going to give all the details, just an outline.

If you want the 911 calls do a FOIA for April 16 2012 between 9:30am and 12:30pm.

The records have been preserved for anyone who wants to see for themselves.
Oh and the police are liars. They tried to add much drama where there was none to begin with.

While not RAS/PC and not saying its right but demeanor may help tip the scale for the officer. http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/showthread.php?101602-OT-OC-Hiking-Trip&p=1746008#post1746008

Not that I don't believe you, I surely do believe you would be involved in another police interaction but what city and cross street was this at?

31200(?) block of Old Owen Rd just starting down the hill. It's the same one I posted about back in April.....

I've walked that same area with an AR15 on and no problems in the past. There was NO AR15 when this contact occurred. With the AR15 the most the SHERIFF'S deputies did in way of contact was stop roll down and ask a really quick, "are you a felon?" No. "Okay have a good day, you're not doing anything illegal."

Then the 'non-contact' where they followed me around the day we met. Then the MPD claiming that Starbucks was a gun free zone. You were there for that. BTW that was the last time I have OC'd a LG. Not the last time I plan to do it, just it's been that long.

-Taco bell off of State Ave and I-5 exit 202. No issues.

-Starbucks next to the Taco Bell. Flirted with the Baristas a little. No issues or comments.

Good O.C. Day

I'm gonna breathe some life back into this thread.

Oc'ed the Kimber to the shooting pit @ Sedro-Wooley/Lyman/what-have-you. That place NEEDS a Clean-Up!

After that, drove down to the Starbucks off exit 202 in North Marysville. "Negative Event" occurred when my Dad forbade me from carrying into Starbucks! He threatened to punish me if I walked into Starbucks carrying my firearm!(Yes, yes, I'm 21, but Dad still treats me like a Child.) So I had to leave it in the car!

OC's from Federal Way to the Evergreen District Court house zero problems.

Walked around Monroe for a bit the new and used bookstore on Main street is gun friendly.

The case against me got dismissed.

LOL! FMJ.........I'm just short of 60 and my dad is 82, and he still forbade me from OC'ing into his favorite restaurant over in Yakima a couple of months ago. I had to pull my shirt over it. He has been pretty hard core CC his whole life. He is none to happy with me OC'ing around town either, but usually doesn't say anything.

I know how dads can be:)

Cheers

I invited my dad(62) to the Vancouver OC event 2 years ago. Remember, held in a public park with 50 or more OCers. He parked, walked to the park w/o his gun. Verified that we were actually OCing, returned to his car and holstered up his 1911. Then walked back to the park OC. He is also a lifetime CCer, manipulated by the serial misinformation put out by the NRA, Ayoob, etc.... That was 2 years ago, he has now seen me do this the last 3 years, in Oregon and Washington without incident. He still won't OC unless we are camping/hunting but at least he get's it now. He hasn't asked me not to either.

I'm 36, my dad is 60 something or other, retired law enforcement (PD then federal). He's not too keen on me open carrying, says it's a "very bad" decision based on 28 years in law enforcement. Couldn't come up with any real data showing it was a bad idea. We went to the WAC show on Saturday and out to eat after. If he would have told me to cover up when we went to eat I would have told him to jump off a bridge...

Have any coordinates/directions to that pit?

Second, if you're 21 how exactly could your dad "punish" you? Can't exactly take you over his knee at this point, ESPECIALLY if you're packing. ;)

You are 21 yet you let your dad treat you like you are 12? He must have been driving and I bet you still live at home?

I sense a Dr. Phil episode in the making. You are 21, don't let him treat you like a child.

And that, Scott, is the difference between your generation and my generation. I was raised to "respect my elders", and I also have a pretty darn good Dad. We don't always see eye to eye, but I will do a lot of things for him that I wouldn't do for anyone else.

Cheers:)

Really nice day today, OC'd all over Redmond without incident.....as usual.

I was also raised to respect my elders and I think favorably of my father. I'm sure if anyone asked him he wouldn't feel as if I was ever disrespectful to him. That being said I don't think respect has anything to do with being a push over and there have certainly been situations were we've butted heads.

I wouldn't have told him to literally jump off a bridge.

I need to find that one, I only know of the one in tulalip. Not sure if it is on a res or not.

The Tulalip Walmart is definitely on the 'Res'. The Tribe takes part of the Sales tax too.

The Arlington Walmart is easy to find. Just go north on the freeway from the Tulalip Walmart and take the 172nd st exit. Turn right and go East. It's on the right at the next traffic light.

I open carry at the Marysville Walmart all the time, never had any problems.

Went to Lowes tonight. Not a peep from anyone. I'm starting to think that the gun I'm wearing is as imaginary as my imaginary friend Bob...
