Runnin' & Gunnin' , doing my "tacticool" thing, I accidentally shot and killed my
video camera.
I had it tied to a tree, just above the target. I thought it would be cool to have
video of myself looking bad ass with flash and smoke blasting at the camera.
My Bad. $100 shot to hell.
R.I.P. little Flip.

What I really need is a camera that can record all day, or at least 6 hours
for OC'ing. Any body know of such a thing.

Take it back and tell them you took a picture of your Mother-in-law and...well, and ask for a replacement. :)

John Wayne (or somebody) once said, "It takes a big man to admit to a bonehead thing like that!"

How about we go to the range on Saturday for a little target practice?

You're all laughing with me, right ?
I never claimed to be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

No vids. Like I said, I killed it.

Golddigger, thanks, that's exactly what I'm looking for.

MSG, Saturday it is. PM me with time you want to meet.

Metalhead, words to live by.

Thanks for all your comments. Good for a few chuckles.

I am laughing with you. It's pretty darn funny!!!!!!! I would love to see a pic of the decimated camera though. Remind me not to ask you to shoot an apple off my head.

Follow-up question. What kind of gun was it?

There's always a chance that the memory part of the camera may have survived. You should have someone look at it to see if the flash memory is salvageable. Possibly by putting parts in another flip cam?

+1 that'd be a shot worth seeing, no pun intended. IIRC those Flip's don't have removable memory cards, but the chip its self might be salvageable. C'mon, at this point you at least have to TRY to recover it. Maybe take it to Data Doctors or the like, see what they'd charge to recover it.

Pix of the deceased would be nice too. stickpoke.gificon_mrgreen.gif

The other day we shot at pumpkins/tanerite, not cameras! We try to keep the cameras behind the firing line! (Better for the camera!).

Perhaps placing the camera at a wider angle behind the target, instead of directly behind the target, would work better next time.

Seems to work for all the other "run and gun" types on YouTube.....just sayin.

I have to give you props for admitting the mistake on a public forum tho.

Good shoot. We had a lot of fun. Met a friend in the next lane and got a chance to shoot a .50 Desert Eagle. Damn, what a weapon. Sky shoots pretty well. Killed them every time. My Sweet Baboo was making head shots right away with the Radom that came this week. You just have to love a woman that can get groups under two inches. Makes ya tingle!!
