Why am I still getting emails from these asshats? they still seem to think they did us a great service, lol. I doubt it will be seen by anyone, but none the less, I included a quick retort. ;)

OH and notice (in red) the lack of proof reading... Unfucking real!? I guess we do have TARDS in office:uhoh:

Email Received:

Thank you for your e-mail about legislation regarding concealed firearms, Senate Bill 234, which was considered during the 2011 Legislative session. This bill, which passed, will add Florida to the now 44 states which have open carry laws on their books.

As a strong supporter of second amendment rights, I voted for this bill which provides that if a concealed weapon is accidently revealed, it will not be a violation of firearm regulations. It will also allow a person licensed to carry a firearm to store it or carry it in a vehicle.

Thank you again for your e-mail on this issue.

Sincerely,
Jack
Jack Latvala
State Senator
District 16

My Rebuttal:

"this bill which provides that if a concealed weapon is accidently revealed, it will not be a violation of firearm regulations."

How is this a open carry bill? You know, I know, we all know that this bill is a farce of what it should be. I see no real reason why it even carries the title "Open Carry". After allowing Bogdanoff's abortion of an amendment, SB234 should have been VETOED!

Yes... congratulations on being strong-armed and bitch slapped like a red headed step-child, you all should feel so proud! It makes me SICK to know that I have spineless dolts representing me, my needs and my freedom.

Unfortunately, the FL AG will not issue opinions at the request of private citizens (I've tried in the past) or organizations. Only states attorneys or police departments (and I'm sure a few others-statute or constitution speaks to this) can get opinions. Perhaps a friendly request to your local sheriff or police chief may be in order ;)

i may have some pull here. if gov scott signs the bill, then i will see if i can get an opinion on "briefly".
