Preferred 9mm conceal carry?

This maybe an odd question since this being an open carry dedicated group. But there are times I do need to conceal carry regardless of my view with it. I have been looking at the Glock 26 9mm currently. I checked out the Gen5 at my local gun shop and with the pinky extension, it's quite a nice piece. I'm curious to know if' there's any nice subcompacts I should be looking at. I do have quite large hands! The M&P shield feels a bit small for my hands, or maybe I'm just not used to small sidearms. My current carry when I need to conceal is my Glock 19X 9mm.

Any recommendations of what I should be looking at would be great! I don't plan to own many conceal carry pistols. I highly prefer to open carry, but again I need a nice piece for when I do conceal carry. Price isn't really an issue and I don't mind a premium price tag.

If you are looking for a concealable Glock, check out the new 43X and 48. Both have 43-style single stacks, but 19-length grips. The 43X barrel length is comparable to the 43. The 48 barrel length is comparable to the 19.

While they don’t carry generation designations, they have Gen 5 features.

My preferred 9 mm concealed carry handgun is the Sig Sauer P365. Great ergonomics and sights. Shoots very well. Has either 10+1 or 12+1 magazine capacity.

While still in love with my full size 20+1 polymer FN 5.7 when OC’g out and bout the community & country, I am having an affair with the M&P performance center Ported, 8+, 9mm shield ~ please let’s not tell the FN as it’s feelings might get hurt !

Shield has a smaller footprint but still allows my beefy paws to still grip it comfortably while the ported slide mitigates majority of muzzle recoil...

And price at cabelas, on sale is $424 ~ MSRP $500 +/-

Sorry for my late reply here. Any Glock decision is always a good one!

For my EDCC, I'm using a G19 Gen-5 with a beaver-tail backside. Offering another opinion, the X option isn't ideal for cc (with the full size-frame).

If magazine capacity isn't a consideration for your cc pistol, the single-stack G43 might be worth a look. Putting a few rounds down range with it might sell you.

I really like my Sarsilmaz (SAR) B6c 9mm. It is a clone of the CZ75 that holds 13 rounds.

It is the most accurate 9 mm I have ever shot.

Wintertime is a Glock 30 OWB.
Summer is the Glock 26 OWB.

The small Glock 42 for ankle/pocket carry when needed.

The G42 when carried in a proper ankle rig (Apache) can be worn all day, every day, as I did it for a year while spending many, many hours every day in the hospital with my wife. After 5 minutes you won't even know you're wearing it.

Fired about 300rds and had one failure to lock back which I’m pretty sure is because of my grip.
