Any drivers in or near Arlington? Rider looking for a ride from Shirlington

Can't wait to go to this lobby day. Was out of town last year so couldn't make it but already got the day off from work.

Appreciate anyone who can help me? Happy to help pay for gas/parking.

Carpool on Monday

I've got 3 spacious seats available leaving from Centreville the morning of the event, returning after its conclusion with possible meal stop on the way home.

Hello - I would like to carpool if you still have seats available. I'm in Reston.

I may have additional riders to help share gas etc...

Do you still have seats? Please PM me.

I'm afraid we're going to miss breakfast. I couldn't get my reserved parking space this year so I have to be there at 7:00.

By the time I unload and come back to RCD, it'll be time to leave.

Dress for Lobby Day?

Per the accusation that we (VCDL, etc.) look as if we stepped off the set of "Deliverance," can some of you leaders who are politically savvy and strategic address how most of us should dress for this event to get the most "bang for the buck?" I know we would not go to a job interview wearing our camo and motorcycle jackets, right? So, why would a Virginia patriot try to defend his rights IN A LEGISLATIVE ENVIRONMENT any less well attired?

Will a "respectable" appearance of dignity win us any consideration up there? Can it hurt? I'm thinking I am going to step up my own game, personally, in this area, and wonder if would be good for us all (if possible) to turn it up a notch? There are no speeches out in the cold this year, so we don't need to wear parkas and hunting coats for the office meetings inside.

I want to be not only "right," but "smart" about the fight we face this year. We need to do everything right AND smart this time.

If that's how VCDL executive member Ed Levine dresses for the General Assembly, it must be the last word for making a memorable impression. I'll be sure and emulate.

Good haircut too. :uhoh:

Business casual is frequently recommended.
