He was on the Rod Archette (sp) radio program 105.7 FM earlier this evening. Name of Joseph Kelly. Did it to exercise his constitutional rights. Called the police beforehand to give them a heads up and then did what he did.....

BTW: He is identified in the OP's link!

The lead-in for one of the local news channels here along the Wasatch Front was something like, Man With Assault Rifle Terrorizes JC Penney's. Then when they ran the story and interviewed customers, the closest thing to "terror" seemed to be when one woman was asked what she'd do if she saw someone with an "assault rifle" in the store. Her terror-stricken reply was "I'd try to keep my distance from him." Not even an, "I'd leave the store immediately!" Yeah, sure... there was absolute panic in Penney's! Pax...

Does anyone else have a problem with the fact that he was flagging the crap out of people? Seriously, with a rifle slung across his back like that and pointed away from him at an angle that was well under 45 degrees, that's a serious safety issue. I've noticed that issue with other people carrying rifles before and it's really frustrating. If you're going to carry a rifle, please make sure you have proper muzzle control.
