Oh, Tricia Manning Smith also tried to make it racist. She commented that there didn't seem to be any minorties present. I said we did have minority members, they just weren't there. Actually they were, but I just don't pay attention to race, minorities, ethnic background. I just see people.
I wonder how quickly this Country could move on from "racism" if the Media would just stop bringing it up.
The only thing that is keeping it alive is the constant interjection race into just about everything that happens.
Parents pass it to their kids who would probably care less if left alone on the subject.
It's the excuse offered whenever someone disagrees them, and they happen to be a person of color.
It's used as an excuse when people are incarcerated, don't pay their bills, loose their homes, etc. People can't just be common criminals, deadbeats, or fiscally irresponsible when they have "race pimps" and their allies "the media" beating the drum of "racism".
Time to move on. Civil Rights have been the law of the land since 1964. We all get to succeed or fail on our own regardless of race.
Ruby, I agree when you say you just see "People". When the rest of society is allowed to do so, and doesn't have the media constantly pointing out there aren't enough "certain people" represented, we will all be better off.
Wonder what Tricia Manning-Smith would have said if the group had set up a "Velvet Rope" at the entrance to the gathering? Wonder if she'd like someone standing there monitoring the entrants, insuring that the right percentage of Whites, Blacks, Pacific Islanders, Asians, Native Americans, etc were represented? Oh wait, I overlooked Hispanics, Inuit's, Aborigines, and who knows who else. Would that satisfy her? Or would it just give her more fodder for another biased report?
As for as I am concerned there are only two kinds of people in this world, good, and bad people. They both come in all sorts of ethnicity.
