Letter

Does anyone have a WalMart company letter on their position?

If it is up to the Managers then I would like a copy so I can write Corporate, and let them know I will be a former customer.
I can perfectly understand manager discretion if someone is acting like a nut job. But to just carry isn't enough.

Again does anyone have that Corporate policy letter from WalMart? I am seeing too many conflicting opinions, whether the manager has or doesn't have an opinion.

Thank you for your message.

Dear David,

There is no policy against customers carrying their handgun in our stores as long as he/she is legally licensed by their state to carry the handgun.

As a private property owner, Walmart has the authority to ask customers to remove their handgun or leave the store on a case-by-case basis if customers or Walmart associates express concerns about the handgun.

If a customer says they were told by management that they were not allowed carry their handgun in the store, please ask for more information as to why or what reason was given and proceed with a regular remedy ticket as you normally would.

Thank you.

Besides thinking it violated company policy despite my assurance that OC did no such thing... the manager himself feeling "uncomfortable" seems to meet the letter of this policy. May I remind everyone that Walmart is the SOLE "Retail Partner" of "Mayor's Against Illegal Guns" and every dollar spent at Walmart supports the further erosion of gun rights.
