Nudists Duel With Gun Aficionados Over Proposed Sultan Basin Gun Range

There's a proposal by the Snohomish County Council to build a gun shooting range on Sultan Basin Road. There's a bunch of folks (including the councilmembers) who support it and a bunch of folks, including environmentalists and neighbors to the site who think it's a dreadful idea. But perhaps the most interesting group to take up a fight against the gun range is the Lake Bronson Club, a nudist group that does its lets-get-naked-and-swim thing about a mile or so from where the gun range is proposed to go.

The most disturbing part of the article is this:

And at a Dec. 7 meeting of the state Board of Natural Resources in Olympia to discuss a possible property transfer of the range parcel to Snohomish County, both the armed and unclothed will be there to speak their minds (but not while not practicing their respective hobbies, we hope).

Excuse me, but the law specifically allows me to carry my firearm to the meeting. Be interesting to see if the nudists open carry their guns. I guess the right to bare arms should be universal, though.

But since they used a double negative, does that mean they WANT us to go nude and armed? :D

Bearing ARMS in public there is nothing wrong with. It is when you bear "other body parts" the law seems to have a problem...

Does that mean we are getting a remake:

Not with Leslie Nielson.

FWIW, don't nudists support Open Carry just by virtue of their shunning clothes? I'm not sure I want to consider the thought of a Nudist practicing "Concealed Carry".

Too soon for Leslie Nielson jokes? I think not.

Or quotes?
From 1991’s "The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear":

Lt. Frank Drebin: Now, Jane, what can you tell us about the man you saw last night?

Jane: He's Caucasian.

Captain Ed: Caucasian?

Jane: Yeah, you know, a white guy. A moustache. About six-foot-three.

Frank: Awfully big moustache.

Surely you're joking?

No, I'm not joking, and don't call me Shirley.

It does make one stop and pause for a moment, doesn't it.

One of the women was able to fit three boots under her breast

I don't guess a full size handgun would present much of a problem...ya think?
