I had some new cards printed up.... To hand out to those who continually ask WHY I am carrying a firearm. The top pics are the front and back of 1 card, the bottom pics are front and back of another card. YOU can order theses cards from Moonlight printing in Raytown Missouri, 816-356-5150, the cost is 65.00 for 500...

Ya might want to rethink the wording on this.

That first card was printed several years ago, and was taken directly from this site.... I just copied it and had it put on cards to hand out to draw attention to Open Carry .org. It HAS and STILL DOES the job that I printed them for.... to draw people to the open carry web site and give people with questions somewhere they could go to try and get some answers to their questions. If there is a word out of place or maybe not correct , by all means feel free to correct it, so when I print my next 1000 cards to hand out, as I have about 100 left, and the few others who have had 1000 or so printed up, to hand out, I will make sure its absolutely correct. But I am thinking although the" legally holstered firearm" may not be a point of contention except to those who make it one, to someone who knows NOTHING about open carry.... it still directs them to this site... where they can learn....and that was the point of the original cards. I will plead ignorance, the 5th., my hard drive crashed, all my emails got erased, forgiveness, I don't recall, ect..... That all seems to work for the government so I guess it should work for me.. :)

The "proper wording" is contained with rule 14 of OCDO's Forum rules. Regularly reiterated by OCDO staff and a more accurate statement given the 57 states and their law regarding the lawful carry of a handgun.

  • (14) LONG GUN CARRY IS OFF-TOPIC: This web site is focused on the right to openly carry properly holstered handguns in daily American life...

Here is my recommended correction, for your consideration. "[strike]legally[/strike] properly holstered [strike]firearm[/strike] handgun in Missouri."

HMMMMMMMMMM.... seems as though I had a computer glitch that has erased all my previous stuff, on all of my stuff..... Since retrieval of such stuff is impossible, I will make a note in my new stuff to get the card wording changed before I get any more printed up. I tried to locate said cards in my previous emails..... and those to have vanished, without a trace......strange.....seems to be a lot of that going around lately.....:p
