Were there any MWAG news reports for Sunday evening in Atlanta (sw)?
I picked up a tail when leaving a GFZ, who had what looked like a
cheap box cutter in his palm. When I was entering an empty
area I sent family ahead while I squatted down and removed my ankle
holster to put in my front pocket. My tail seemed to remember his car was
parked elseware and went the other way.
Just wanted to know if I was reported, as there was only one 'witness' who could.
It was a private GFZ so there was no conflict with the law, and i'm safe in asking.:cuss:

If you were not on any Public School Property or inside any Public School Building, then, you are fine.

Remember, under the changes enacted under SB 308, the 1000 foot rule has been repealed, as it applied to the now antiqueted pre-June 2010 16-11-127.1.

Well as I said it was private GFZ.
On a good point it let me know that I need a code phrase to alert the children.
Wife figured it out in a heartbeat when I grabbed my ankle, but child was
blissfully ignorant and still bouncing around.

I did bait him I guess. Exhausted grandparents taking kids home from disneyland,
where he knows they are defenseless. That and I gave him a wide birth
indicating fear in his eyes. Then the audacity to walk down a deserted street.
Maybe he should consider painting the yellow sleeve black or gray so it doesn't
stand out so much on his boxcutters.
Just bad luck I gave as much a rip about the posted rules as he did.:lol:

I base my practicing on direct attack, where the intentions are obvious, not
for a stalking situation, and alerting. Violent confrontation is pretty obvious to
even a child. Hadn't thought about covert confrontation before this, at least
in having to alert family to it.

Were you in Atlanta or Disneyland?

When you say he "seemed to remember his car was parked elsewhere" do you mean that when you retrieved your CC piece that he saw you do this and he turned and walked away?

Was it your intention to draw your (still holstered) firearm for him to see it before putting it in your pocket?

Are you saying that someone appeared to be following you with an unknown object in his hand and you pulled your firearm (although still holstered) and then put the firearm in your pocket?

Maybe I am just not catching what happened.

Ok, six flags atlanta. Thought the grand parents in disneyland gave picture better.
Two worn out old biddies trying to control a little overactive tike.
Everyone knows and understands FL victim zones.

He was cleaning his fingernails with what looked like a cheap
box cutter, the type that take a regular razor blade with a
steel sleeve that slides over it. Wearing a light hoodie in 90+ heat
leaning on the corner wall, after I pass he hops up and starts to follow.
Keeping distance of about 30-40 feet, stopping and moving with my
childs antics. Cut through the corner car lot closing the distance around
the corner to 20 - 25 keeping hand all this time cupped to his leg, or in
jackets front pouch.
So I decided ankle is to slow, and since the street was deserted,
overgrown foilage blocking view from up the street, no one else in site.
It would be prudent to have better access. Dropped to knee, he stopped,
reached into pant leg unstrapped, stood up and put in my pocket.
Doubt you can mistake what the holster was cupped in my hand,
it was on inside leg facing towards him. With all the sweat on my hairline
peripheral vision was it, if I faced him to look up I would have burning eyes
on top of everything else that hurt.
While I stood up he turned, put hand in front pocket again and went back
through cars towards six flags again.

So the question, any MWAG on the news?
But showed me an oversite in my readiness planning, that is now being corrected.

But for a good retention test, I would suggest the Great American Scream Machine. :uhoh:

Georgia Cyclone would be my test the others tend to lock you into your seat while this one feels like it wants to throw you out of it. If only I hadn't given up on Six Flags four years ago with all of it's nickel and diming and $5 - $15 dollar one off lockers.

I just don't see it as a good money maker. All the cash would be on the ingoing
crowds, and there are large crowds, parking attendants, etc so no opportunity.
Leaving most will be broke, and the lone victim few and far between.
I have never been leaving in a vacancy like that before, it was deserted
once you went threw the turnstile.
I saw the Gangland episode for ATL. A mugging won't make the news, but
a MWAG will be the 11 o'clock news teaser all evening.

Unfortunately I was looking forward to the Golder Corral for a quite OC
dinner, maybe even get lucky and get my JBT card stamped for GA.:lol:
Instead the wife wanted to head home no stops, even took my OC
piece for the ride home. A window washer would not have been safe
working for tips that night.

But I learned of a flaw in my safety practice, and she learned that situational
awareness is 24/7 no matter what. So a special thanks to the fine thugs
who bring a knife to a gun fight.
