Ok, this is not a police bashing thread, nor am I judging what happened as I was not there. Or, maybe I am. What scares me is that between two officers 50 rounds of ammo were expended and the suspect was only hit 3 times. It sounds from the news story that he was not hiding but standing on a balcony pointing the pellet gun at officers. He had shot one of them in the face. According to the report, the guy fired the pellet gun 3 times hitting a cop twice. I think I have that correct. Are Metro officers trained to just spray bullets hoping they hit something? They were shooting at an apartment building, where did the other rounds go?
One bad guy, 3 rounds expended, 2 hits.
Two cops, 50 rounds expended, 3 hits.
And people don't want us private folks carrying firearms? We should leave it to the cops and military? Shouldn't this give them pause?

P.S. I didn't realize Metro was still using 9mil's. I thought the FBI proved beyond a reasonable doubt that it is underpowered for the job. Maybe they should be armed with pellet guns?
