Yet it took them how long to count all 10K ammo? I would like to think it would be a lot faster to shoot 'em than to count 'em.

When are we going to realize that our greatest enemy are the police?
I don't believe for a moment that the police are the enemy. The police are just ordinary citizens that are doing a job. They are our neighbors. Many of them are as pro-gun and pro 2A as we are. In my business, I have frequent contact with law enforcement and for the most part find them to be competent and professional.

I don't think any of us know the circumstances surrounding the incident in this post. I also don't believe that the ATF arrested this guy simply because he had a lot of ammo. If he is selling ammo illegally; smuggling ammo to other countries illegally; or illegally selling ammo to gang members or terrorists, then he deserved to be arrested. If not, that's a different story. Let's see what the facts are before we automatically condemn the police.

I am not in favor of defending everyone that is arrested just because the arrest had something to do with guns or ammo. If they're law abidingcitizens - they deserve our support. If they're criminals, they belong behind bars.

Either your totally clueless or "one of them." What an absurd statement.
The German who drove the train to Auschwitz was "just an ordinary citizen doing his job." Like most Germans, he had neighbors, too.
Pro-gun? LOL, yes, as long as they and their like get to determine just what rights us peons have.
The SS were both competent and professional.
If the government of this country today obeyed the rule of law, this very incident would never have occurred had it not been for your buddies over in "law enforcement" just "doing their job."
Like most of your ilk, you get to determine who is a criminal.

Forget the Russians, the Chinese, the nation of Islam, MY real enemies are Amerikans who somehow believe they have some God-given right to rule over the rest of us.

God save (what's left of) the Republic.

I find that confusing. :?The fastest machine gun in the world can't match me looking at several bricks of .22 ammo and counting: 500 -1,000 - 1,500 - 2,000 in 2 seconds.Or even if they were in boxes of 100. Although those gatling guns do spit them out pretty dang fast. :shock:Anyways, I seriously doubt they pulled everycartridge out and counted them individually.

The thing that looks bad to me is $25,000 in cash on someone with a labor job. Huh? But I don't think there should be a law against that. It would have me wonder what else is going on, though. The gang connection is just too easy to make but I didn't read any proof of that. Did they jump too early or is some info being held out of the public's reach about this?

One of "them"? That sounds a little paranoid. While this country is certainly in a mess and on a fast track to socialism, that is certainly not being caused by the police, especially the local police officer on the street. And to answer your question (or allegation) directly, no I am not a police officer or any type of law enforcement officer (if that's what you mean by "them").

Pro-gun? LOL, yes, as long as they and their like get to determine just what rights us peons have.

Not to let the facts get in the way, but the police don't get to determine what rights we have. Our rights are determined by the Constitution and Amendments to the Constitution (the first ten of which are known asthe Bill of Rights). Congress makes federal law and the President signs that legislation into law. On the state level, your state legislature makes the law and your Governor signs that legislation into law. Nowhere in that process do the police have the ability to write the laws or determine what rights we have.
Like most of your ilk, you get to determine who is a criminal.
No, I don't get to determine who is a criminal, unless of course I'm serving on a jury. We have a judicial system to determine who the criminals are.

My point in this thread is that the police are not normally the enemy. They are not part of some grand conspiracy to take your rights from you. They are doing a difficult and frustrating job and get harrassed from many sides. Are they perfect? No. However, they certainly are not the enemy.

Just who do you think enforces "this mess?" Yep, the PO-leece.
"Them" means the opposite of "us." Anyone espousing such tripe certainly isn't one of "us."
Everyday, the police DO determine what rights we have. Recently, Milwaukee's chief made that very, very clear. He instructed his "troops" to take anyone OC'ing to the ground, disarm them and determine if they have the right to bear arms. It doesn't get any clearer than that. At least chief Flynn is open about it.
In theory, rights are not determined by the constitution, as the source of rights is the LORD.
Yes, the police ARE normally the enemy. If you don't understand that, you are clueless. Last time I checked, anytime two or more persons agree to do something dishonest, you have a conspiracy. Grand? That's a relative term.
What they are doing is violating the very principles upon which this once-great Republic was founded. They ought to be harassed from many sides.
Again, yes, they ARE the enemy, if you truly are a lover of freedom.
Why is someone with your opinions/views even on a board proclaiming the exercising of a right?

You could be right. My initial impression was that this board was about promoting our 2nd Amendment rights -not a site that promotes wild conspiracy theories and paranoia. If anyone is an enemy of the 2nd Amendment, it's our representatives in Washington - NOTYOUR NEIGHBORHOODPOLICE OFFICER!

FYI, I exercise my 2nd Amendment right every day by carrying my handgun. What I don't do is spend all day looking for a conspiracy that doesn't exist.

1) No, our rights are pre ordained, natural rights. The constitution and bill of rights merely affirm those pre existing rights.

2) The bill of rights was meantto bea limit to the power of the federal government. We will always have what rights we choose to defend. The 2A was meant to ensure that we the people retained the power to defend those rights by force, if necessary, from a tyrannical government.

3) The judicial branch was never meant to determine who was a criminal, it was merely meant to ensure fair trials. In the federal system judges and magistrates are not fit to determine guilt or innocence, that is a job for juries alone.

4) Please ask the man arrested for having a lot of ammo in his van. He was arrested under threat of violence for stockpiling ammo. If police support tyrannical laws and threaten to use force to do so then they are the enemies of liberty.

Wake up before it is too late propertymanager. Many police are on the side of liberty, but many are not.

The government that tries to limit the means of defence against tyranny of the people is by definition tyrannical. Agents of a tyrannical regime, willing to use deadly force against citizens who exercise their rights, are the enemy.

You just don't quit, do ya?
Supposedly, this board is about promoting the 2nd amendment, specifically, OPEN carry. Why would you think otherwise?
Only YOU brought up the words "conspiracy" and "paranoia." I haven't suggested either. I prefer to deal in facts.
Yes, the so-called "representatives" in the District of Criminals ARE enemies of the 2nd amendment. They can sit there till the Saints win the Superbowl, but when it comes time to carry out their wishes, you won't see THEM on the streets enforcing it.
You'll see your buddies, your neighbors, your friends the neighborhood PO-leeces with a knee in someone's back.
Who said anything about spending all day looking for a conspiracy that doesn't exist, other than YOU?
Try checking out www.bayoushooters.com.
You'll be right at home there.

I agree that Chief Flynn is a jerk. That's one police officer out of the 800,000 in this country. Obviously, there are other police officers that are idiots; corrupt; incompetent, etc. With 800,000 law enforcement officers in the US, there are bound to be some bad apples. However, to take a few examples of bad apples and generalize that the police are the enemy is RIDICULOUS! The policework for us. The police chiefs work for us. If they aren't doing their job, they need to be fired.

Yes, I would say that the vast majority of police officers are on the side of liberty. They investigate crimes; arrest criminals; and respond to trouble when called. I wouldn't call that being the enemy!
