Sorry, this is worse than the Warren Commission’s debacle, both of them!

That Boward’s sheriff is still in office and was even invited to participate in the study as well as had the cojones to apparently activately participate is a significant study distractor; especially since his deputy Peterson was allowed to retire AND received his 120K pension and was not cited, arrested, and tried for complicity to murder due to his negligence and dereliction of duty!

So the conclusion of this report, due to complete ineptitude on the part of the entire LE group’s situational involvement [chicken deputy Peterson not withstanding] is to arm the teachers ~ really?

Good heavens, based on that thought process, why not dismantle the nation’s LE agency(ies) completely and allow the armed citizens to ‘serve and protect’ our communities!

More to follow after the 400+ page document is completely read.

Guess the Broward Sheriff's department is off the hook, as the judge just threw out the student's lawsuit...

Quote:

A federal judge says Broward schools and the Sheriff’s Office had no legal duty to protect students during the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom dismissed a suit filed by 15 students who claimed they were traumatized by the crisis in February. The suit named six defendants, including the Broward school district and the Broward Sheriff’s Office, as well as school deputy Scot Peterson and campus monitor Andrew Medina.

Bloom ruled that the two agencies had no constitutional duty to protect students who were not in custody. unquote

I had expected that ruling, but I disagree with the judge on custody. Students are in the custodial care of the school. The school district itself should liable.

Another federal judge comfortable in her absolute immunity. Stare decisis reigns supreme once again...preserve USSC rulings not matter the impact on individual liberty...lives. If cops are not bound to protect staff and students, I'll wager that a teacher would not be permitted to carry for SD given this judges edict. Two-faced rats!
