I've been on this forum for awhile now....learning, listening, offering advise of my own. There have been a few times when my fires got cranked up about a heated topic....thats going to happen from time to time.

What I don't understand is...time and time again someone will post a story here....about anencounter with LE, other citizens, or self-defense. Lots of good advise given and recieved. But, just about every thread, specifically encounters with LEO's....some here get all up in arms and start literally BLASTING the OP....."you gave up your rights", "why didn't you file a lawsuit" "never do this, never do that"......

The way I see it, we were not there. We are not the one that was involved. Every situtation is unique. Sometimes something better than monetary gain can come from a negative encounter, something that can benefit all of us that want to see the laws changed. I will agree though that sometimes a lawsuit is the only logical recourse. I linked just one thread below as an example. We're all not guilty of this, but I'm sure most of us have gotten involved in heated debates here.

Just some food for thought, sometimes having the advantage of being there can reveal the better decision being made.
