Great job on the clean up! Beautiful dog there too, almost the same color as the ground, had to look twice. :D

I am repulsed that people could leave the area in such a state as it was. I understand bits of paper target that fly around from emptying a few mags into it being left behind, couple good rains and it's fresh dirt... But the amount of trash there was hideous.

I don't see why they wouldn't allow self healing targets, as they are the ones that will leave the least evidence behind. I'll be rooting for you to get it cleared up though.

As long as people clean it up, there should be no issue. If people leave the mess, they should get a ticket for littering. IIRC the ticket is 500$. The court should make them do community service in place of the fine, at the normal 10$ an hour, and that service should be done by cleaning up the pit. Thats 50 hours.

But the .gov likes to feel their oats, and punish everyone, besides, it's easier that way.

Wow! The before and after pics are amazing! I can't believe people made it look like a garbage dump! (actually, I can.) What a mess! Good job to everyone who helped. If I lived in the area and used the site I would have helped for sure. People are so lazy these days, I always take everything with me after I go shooting. It wouldn't matter too much what you are shooting at as long as you cleaned it up. When common sense is not used this allows for silly rules to be put in place. I'm glad I have a secret outdoor spot to shoot at that is never a mess.
