Disruptor is the designation of several types of weapons in common use among many races in the galaxy including the Borg, Breen, Cardassians, Cravic, Dominion, Eminians, Federation, Ferengi, Gorn, Hirogen, Klingons, Lokirrim, Lysians, Pralor, Remans, Rigelians, Romulans and Vidiians.

The people of Eminiar VII employed sonic disruptor weapons based on projecting high intensity sound vibrations. (TOS: "A Taste of Armageddon")

Lysian destroyer starships were armed with a disruptor weapon system that had a capacity of 2.1 megajoules. (TNG: "Conundrum") This was an extremely weak ship-mounted weapon system, as even the Cardassian hand-held disruptor rifles, also known as phase disruptors, had an output rating of 4.7 megajoules. (DS9: "Return to Grace")

The Cardassian outpost on Korma used "system five" disruptors for its planetary defense weapons. Although never designed to operate aboard a moving spacecraft, one was modified to be used aboard the Cardassian military freighter Groumall in 2372. (DS9: "Return to Grace")

In 2374, disruptor bursts from Jem'Hadar soldiers left anti-coagulants in the systems of those attacked by such a weapon, usually causing their victims to suffer and die from the loss of blood. (DS9: "Change of Heart")

Romulan disruptors leave behind residual antiprotons when fired that remain for several hours. (TNG: "Face of the Enemy")

The Varon-T disruptors were banned in the Federation (TNG: "The Most Toys")

The Starfleet type 2 phasers also had a disruptor effect setting. The setting was one of the weapons maximum settings, also known as the disruptor-b setting. (TOS: "Obsession") By the 29th century, Federation Starfleet had began to use subatomic disruptors on timeships and temporal disruptor bombs as explosives. (VOY: "Future's End", "Relativity")

You can still get them at rummage sales

How odd that the "Is this you Mr. Huffman" thread was locked. Yet this thread was not, nor the disruptor of the thread admonished for his behavior.

It is becoming more and more apparent that he has permission to display his behavior here in the forum.

I have to wonder if the Administrative Sock Puppet is used in other state forums as well.

And I might add that the silence of the WCI board when it comes to his behavior is/can also be taken as an act of approval. One must wonder how many new members this Sock Puppet is chasing away with his behavior. I for one would have never joined if I had come into this forum and bared witness to his behavior as a member of WCI or OCDO.

While we have all had our arguments and disagreements in this forum, it has never come to the level this Sock Puppet reaches.

When the majority of the forum suggests the Sock puppet be banned and the Administration does nothing, it is a clear sign of Administrative approval.

So then one must ask the Administrators, How can you censor other members when you allow such disarray from the Sock Puppet?

You censor my comments on Gene German or the NRA yet you allow Spartacus (AKA Sock Puppet) to attack me and my character as well as others here in the forum without sanction. I am a Gun Rights Activist and I request that you follow your own rules and muzzle your Sock Puppet.

i swear, everything i learned in life i learned from watching some tv shows; you guys are relieved of command. confined to your quarters. Your setting a bad example; my chief of security, and my first officer going at it on the bridge! knock it off or i'll put you both in 'the booth'!

You've thrown a few yourself. Just sayin'...

Sure, but if you had a nickle for each of yours you would be calling yourself King Midas instead of Spartacus.

At least some people can dial it down a notch or two. You cranked your dial to 10 and busted the knob off. A little moderation now and then couldn't hurt.

"We now return to your regularly scheduled mayhem...."
