Well, don't be so sure. As it was explained to me, the Hi-Point warrantee covers incidental use only. Non-factory adjustments to the gun and using +P reloads will void the warrantee, if I'm not mistaken. Just make sure you restore it to original condition if/when you ever have to ship it back. ;-/

Just a quick note, sorry to drag up an older thread, but the quoted statement is incorrect. I talked with Hi-Point directly shortly after purchasing my .45;the warranty is a no questions asked, full coverage, lifetime warranty. It is good for all owners of the weapon; if you were to buy a used model off someone else and the weapon did not function correctly; simply ship it to them and they will repair/replace at no cost except shipping (you can ship as "metal components", and they will usually give a free magazine to offset your shipping costs).

I knew they covered used guns, but only recently talked to them about the "no questions" bit. I remember their (old) included manual limiting it to incidental use, but they will apparently fix problems of whatever origin, yes. So if you use it for a crack pipe and trash the finish (I hate that), you're covered.

Thanks for the clarification - just learned of that myself.
