Thanks for the update mspgunner, it is hard not to see Nixon vetoing ..... politically that appears to be the best play for him. As you say time will tell.
Perhaps over the summer he will decided having his veto overridden is not in his best long term interests

@RedBaron
Thanks glad you enjoyed. I did too.
Time will tell ;)

I'm going with a veto, but not strongly. I'd say 60 percent veto, 40 pocket sign. Then again I predicted a pocket sign last year, so what do I know...

Do we know if the governor has the HB436 bill on his desk yet?

The answer to your question is found several times in this thread. But no, and it won't be for a week out so.

Time will tell

...whether I'm an all-powerful puppet master sent by a top secret Illuminati banking group, working with aliens and Big Oil, to ironically foment dissent among the people arguing here by openly encouraging unity and civility, and "projecting" my thoughts onto hapless people to hypnotize them with a combination of alpha waves and hidden subliminal animations? :eek::eek:

...or whether being dyslexic, careless, or just plain silly would best explain your confusion about some of those discussions? :cool:

(Don't stare at the pyramid eye on the dollar bills, you'll become a helpless remote-control shell. We'll keep sending you to the bathroom but you won't be able to go! Classic mind-control tactic to keep people distracted while the aliens and Halliburton take over a city.) :lol:

After the gubbinor's comments yesterday regarding the actions of the House and Senate; and the transportation bill failing through filibusterer, I'd say he will not sign HB436.

There are a couple of options: 1-he could just let it come into law without signing.....giving him the option, when questioned, that he opposed the bill but had a veto proof vote; or, 2-veto it, let the House/Senate re-vote, then blame the House/Senate Repubs as being not in touch with the people of Missouri and not using common sense when creating/passing this bill. It would give Koster some potential ammo for the election for gubbinor in the next cycle.

I'm leaning toward the first option.

It has been signed and delivered. Now, legislators may include comments with the bill. How do I find and read those?

I believe, and I could be wrong tha tlegislators who oppose the bill can send along letters?
The only ones opposed are the dems that voted against it. (Same club)
I don't know if they are public or if anyone wrote a note. It would be kind of pointless.

Yeah, they do have to be opposed to it (or why bother...) I'm just curious if any did, and what they said. I love reading what the crazies write. No problem, I'll ask my Rep, I've got a few other things to discuss with him anyway, like legislation for next year. After rereading the firearms laws, I think there's a couple small things that ought to be fixed.
