What exactly is the purpose?We are all aware of the horrible things that happened in the past. I am also aware the the North and South took up arms against each other too. I am not too worried history like this will be repeated.
Did you actually want to talk about them or just remind us that they existed? :?

LEO 229, I think I share in some of your puzzlement about this. I agree that yes, these guys enacted gun control... but the linked page doesn't really discuss in detail how there was a cause-effect relationship. It basically describes how bad these guys were, and then at the bottom lists the dates they enacted some form of gun control. Now, if the page claimed to be a "Evil Dictator Hall of Fame", I could go along with that... but I don't see how the gun control leap is made. Sorry.
