Got the bad news last Thursday. I have an aggressive form of lung cancer, it is stage IV, and is terminal. My oncologist said two to six months. The way I feel right now, and not complaining, is that I'll be doing good to make three. Just wanted to tell y'all goodbye.

May peace be with you.

A close doctor friend of mine succumbed to that. He and I had talked one day and the next morning his son called telling me he passed in the night.

I am so sorry, it is our loss. I haven't been on for a while, dealing with my own health issues. May God ease your pain until you reach his loving arms. When you get there tell my parents, and brothers I miss them.

We have been conversing off and on for many years SFC. I will miss knowing you are out there, somewhere, taking on the fight. Rest easy my friend, I will remember you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. My heart goes out to you. I lost both my parents to some form of stage IV cancer. My brother and I took care of my late Mom's day to day needs until the end. It wasn't easy but family takes care of family! I'll keep you in my prayers.

Just to ease y'all's minds: I do have a wonderful support system, a loving wife who will do anything for me, friends who are there for me, and am on hospice care. I have very little pain and what I do have is easily managed. I won't be back on here very often, but will try to get either my son or daughter to come back and let you know when the end has come. One last thing: I have accepted this and I am at peace with it.

May He (or whatever Deity you revere) look after and bless each of you.

Keep fighting it. My dad had stage 4 bladder cancer, a terrible prognosis, did all the surgeries and chemo, and he's still here 11 years later. You never know.

If not, time to hit 'Vegas for hookers, blow, and burn a truckload of ammo from machine guns while you still can.

I'm sorry to hear that, brother. My mother passed 2 years ago from the same. Since you are going the hospice route, I would recommend starting a carnivore diet. Cancer lives on sugar, and carnivore starves it. Can't hurt.

I appreciate your peace, and I am grateful that you have a loving family to support you.
