So it just clicked the other day that I notice officers breaking the law almost every time I see them. I see entrapment and all sorts, but the 1 thing that really caught my eye is all those "undercover" cars. I have been pulled over many times for having window tint "too dark"(it was legal), yet they have limo tint. They also cruse 20 over the speed limit without lights being on and/or driving in the carpool alone, blasting through red lights and stop signs, plus many other traffic related things.
Anyways, I almost got hit very badly by a cop the other day and I literally slid partially on the side of the road to avoid him almost hitting the guard rail at 65.

So out of curiosity...is there really anything we can do?

Well sure it does. I was just mentioning the small things that we see everyday. Just being descriptive. Would only make sense to me to ask people that would know that kind of thing rather than some random kid thinking he knows what he is talking about. I really didn't wanna highjack another thread, but obviously I have stepped over some line....

In every single law on the books, law enforcement is exempt. Read any RCW and near the bottom it will always list exceptions and ususally LE and military are exempt.

If what you say is exactly true, you'll have to provide more information. Do you know what agency the officer is employed to? Did you get a plate number? Do you have the approximate time of day it occurred at?

There's multiple things you can do. Whether or not they go anywhere is a different story.

If you can identify the officer and his department you can always file a complaint regarding their actions and behavior. Would really be nice if you could document their actions with a video like many police cars now have installed. Shouldn't be too hard to mount a simple camcorder on the dash and set it up to record in a loop mode. Make it easy to dismount so you can remove it to capture incidents like the "gang stomp" recently broadcast in Seattle. Who knows, you might even make enough money by selling the video to TV stations to pay for the camcorder and mount.

Let's face it, a complaint without some sort of backup is going nowhere. A video however will make it newsworthy.

No, this is cop bashing. Has nothing to do with OC.

The deputy let the driver go
Are they kidding? :banghead:

Something similar to this happened in Washington years ago an old man pulled over a LEO for speeding and placed him under citizens arrest. It went to court and the judge found in favor of the citizen.

Right Wing Whacko remembers this too but since there was no internet there I can't seem to find the case.

In the video, my question is, why didn't the deputy simply reverse up and leave another way? It looked to me like they were in an open field.

If you think about that situation, that deputy was probably crapping his pants.. some nut job following you going 90 mph at what looked to be the crack of day break..

I am not "bashing" anyone. Again am I not aloud to ask a simple question to a few that would know the answer? I don't see a moderator locking or warning me about this, so why are you harassing me? If you don't like it, don't read it? There are MANY non OC post's yet I am getting the heat for it....

Read your original post and PLEASE quote to me where you mentioned open carry in Washington. because I took the gist of it being "I don't like cops using undercover cars. I almost got hit by one!"

Yeah, here's the quoted OP for reference. Nothing at all about open carry. Sounds like cop bashing to me.

I didn't express any opinion about whether I dislike or like UC cars. Unless you are a moderator....quit flaming my topic. If you don't like it report it. Seems to me, you are just looking to argue in which I am not.

Edit: Shall we not mention all the posts you have made that have nothing to do with OC either?

Sure. Go ahead and dig them up. You'll find the posts where the other guys stomped in my butt with mud boots for not talking about open carry as well.

So what's this got to do with open carry again?

Take a look again. So now I wonder why you are going directly after me only, seeing how there are so many other "NON OC" questions? Someone use all your tampons up? I make an off topic post so that gives you the go to flame my topic? Are you 15?

There some of police officers on this forum so some members are a little nervous about irritating them. Perhaps you should have asked if you can use a firearm to do a citizens arrest of a police officer? I'm sure that would have complied with the OC requirement and still allowed some info to come your way.
