Turned in my application this morning. The lady said it is normally 6-8 weeks, but they are behind so expect 12 weeks.

It's been a little over eight weeks since I mailed off my app. Jeff City informed me that my plates were printed, but haven't been mailed out yet.

Check with the place you are to pick them up, they have been at these license offices before the notices were mailed out. You might be surprised it is there.

Themn post a pic for us!

It's about time for them to arrive. Like mspgunner said, go ahead and contact your local license bureau to see if they are there. IIRC, mine were there a week or so before I got them, then the notice came about a week after that.

I finally got my plates a few weeks ago. It took about 9 weeks from mailing off the app.

Interestingly enough, I finally saw someone else driving around town with a Don't Tread on Me plate. However, the text appeared to have nothing to do with firearms.

in all reality the Gadsden Flag doesn't necessarily have to do with firearms per say, but more of a "leave me alone" type attitude towards the government.

let's take this excerpt from the writings of "An American Guesser" written in the Pennsylvania Journal in December 1775

This anonymous writer, having "nothing to do with public affairs" and "in order to divert an idle hour," speculated on why a snake might be chosen as a symbol for America.

First, it occurred to him that "the Rattle-Snake is found in no other quarter of the world besides America."

The rattlesnake also has sharp eyes, and "may therefore be esteemed an emblem of vigilance." Furthermore,

"She never begins an attack, nor, when once engaged, ever surrenders: She is therefore an emblem of magnanimity and true courage. ... she never wounds 'till she has generously given notice, even to her enemy, and cautioned him against the danger of treading on her."

so here we see that it was once thought to be a symbol of strength and courage. both of those qualities are needed in abundance in today's America

of the choices i submitted for my license plate, half were 2A related and half were patriotically related. either way i will be happy.

Nice pic....except the two humanoids in the view! ;)

I finally saw an individual in this area with one of these plates. It was a Good view to have!!

i thought i saw one in my mirror as i was passing a minivan on 270 yesterday on my way home from Jeff City but i wasn't going back to see. i saw yellow, a "squiggly thing" (the snake?) and a couple of characters.

maybe it was, maybe it wasn't, but i will for sure be looking for others.
