How about community events and charities?

Already working on a fundraising event for MOC to host. It will benefit a a charity located in Royal Oak.

Many have work on the "fears" of the people. Including having one of those who spoke out against us joining us for dinner right after the last meeting in RO, and one of our great members covered his bill. I've been to Royal Oak twice a week since and spoke with countless citizens of the city. Most support us. We can go to the papers and TV stations all we want, however they will print what sells. I invite anyone to go to Royal Oak OCing and you will see the great response we are getting.

Royal Oak is a win on getting the contract changed, it is the first battle that had to be won. Many of us are over here making calls, talking in person with leaders and citizens. The mayor even approached myself and NHCGRPR45 at the Dream Cruise and thanked us for coming out. He asked how long we had been there and we told him a few hours. He then stated "Huh maybe its not a big deal after all, no one said anything about you being here" as he nodded at our pistols on our side.

Outstanding work. Why hasn't MOC issued a press release for this? That should have been done a long time ago.

Can't we all just get along?

Ghostrider please retract the claws! This type of message could be handled via PM. No need to attempt to embarrass people publicly~right?

Feel free to send me a PM.

Kind regards,

Why so defensive?

He deserves a kudo's for the efforts. and the question is a legitimate one. MOC has a Media Director whose job it is to do these things. This information could have been beneficial in the way things have been/will be going. Why hasn't the Media Director done his job?

Why would anyone be embarrassed? Things fall through the cracks. It happens.

HUH ? is this on the MOC web site ?

So has the media director been notified yet ? of this event ?
if so and he is NOT doing his job shouldnt we releave him of his duties if this is the case ?
And where do we take the food to? for shipment.

Who voted for this food drive and has it been cleared by MOC as an MOC santioned event ?
This is a good idea !
But if this NOT santioned by MOC, then we need it santioned, or it needs to not include the MOC brand of approval period....
Is this on the MOC web site ? i see Nothing on there !!!!

Not defensive, just saying this type of message could be communicated in a less public manner, do you agree?

And furthermore. I would humbly submit that the "retract the claws." comment was uncalled for, since I am no the one who engaged in the conversation on a personal level without first being called into account for my statements (which I addressed). I even agreed to disagree with Bikenut in a gentlemanly fashion.

It is a certain audacity to suggest that I need to, "retract the claws", when it is I who have been accused (unjustly, they could have just sought clarification first, but no.) of using tactics comparing me to those who would oppose our efforts (brady bunch, CC only crowd). Didn't see you calling them to "retract the claws".

Does that street only travel one direction?

It was on topic and Germaine to the conversation. Maybe your seeing something there that I didn't intend? If so feel free to PM me and let me know.

However, if your suggesting that my questioning of the lack of PR involvement for this event in this thread should have been done in private, then I wholeheartedly disagree. That tact has already been tried, and the Media Director appears to have make little improvements. If one court doesn't work, then go to the one that does.

Gripe & moan, gripe & moan...

Ghostrider,

COMMENTS REMOVED BY MODERATOR: Personal attack

My point was simple if you are addressing issues with one person then do it in a PM. Since I have nothing to address with you in a positive manner I will communicate with you via PM, why? Because the whole world doesn't need to see my OPINION of you. Sprinklerguy28 has done more for the OC movement than most in a very short time.

Ghostrider,

It's clear that you are here to gripe & moan with little to no positive intent. Have fun arguing with yourself. My point was simple if you are addressing issues with one person then do it in a PM. Since I have nothing to address with you in a positive manner I will communicate with you via PM, why? Because the whole world doesn't need to see my OPINION[\b] of you. Did or didn't MOC santion this charity drive ?

As for your opinion of sprinklerguy more than most, thats nice !

And some threw there money in and that is all
And others do Nothing but talk BS all day and do there best to drag this group down ....

Glock9mmOldStyle, Ghostrider,

Jeff, David...

Please stop this back and forth. I know you both and you're both very intelligent.

Stop expending energy the way you both were and focus it on the enemy.

Maybe even call each other and talk...PM each other you're PH numbers....or I can.

P.S. Better idea...Ghost, let me know when you're going to be in town again, we'll all do lunch, my treat.

The event I am planning has not been announced yet as I am hoping for it to be a large scale event, bigger than any before. Because of this a tremendous amount of planning is required. Once all the logistics are in place and the MOC Board signs off on it all information will be forwarded to the media director, at which time I know he will handle everything as he is more than capable. Until that time no specifics will be released. I ask that you trust in those who are working on it. Sometimes with planning events or talks with leaders of communities many things must take place behind the scenes. Somethings can not always be released right a way.

I know with the help of everyone we will continue to succeed in our goals because we will always remember that the ultimate goal is more important than any minor difference of opinions we may have. The OC movement has picked up great momentum and enjoyed many successes due to the dedication by many, not one individual.

Honestly my friend, I'm just answering the questions put to me like I normally do. It isn't like I'm calling anyone a liar or anything (seems that deal was done a long time ago).

Sprinklerguy,

Thanks for the clarification. Keep up the good work.
