How about community events and charities?
Already working on a fundraising event for MOC to host. It will benefit a a charity located in Royal Oak.
Many have work on the "fears" of the people. Including having one of those who spoke out against us joining us for dinner right after the last meeting in RO, and one of our great members covered his bill. I've been to Royal Oak twice a week since and spoke with countless citizens of the city. Most support us. We can go to the papers and TV stations all we want, however they will print what sells. I invite anyone to go to Royal Oak OCing and you will see the great response we are getting.
Royal Oak is a win on getting the contract changed, it is the first battle that had to be won. Many of us are over here making calls, talking in person with leaders and citizens. The mayor even approached myself and NHCGRPR45 at the Dream Cruise and thanked us for coming out. He asked how long we had been there and we told him a few hours. He then stated "Huh maybe its not a big deal after all, no one said anything about you being here" as he nodded at our pistols on our side.
