I find it easier to not bother looking for that ABC license - I just OC wherever we go to eat.
It does make
McDonald's more interesting sometimes.
It REALLY makes life interesting in Ralley's! The only Ralleys around here are "in the hood". We went in one this afternoon on Mercury Blvd near the old Hampton Coliseum and a few patrons noticed my left hip.
I also got the distinct impression I wasn't the only armed customer in the place when a group of four Young Urban Businessmen (with trousers below their buttocks, smellingofrecently smoked product) entered and (not as quickly as I thought they might) decided to solve their craving for munchies elsewhere.
I almost laughed out loudwhen I heard their eyelids click and saw them flutter over bleeding eyeballs. If I had better hearing, I might have heardtheir brainsengage several seconds later. They were definitely "under the influence" as they stumbled to the door to an '82 Caprice sitting 3' off the ground,"rolling on 24's" and drove away.
My son chose that time to say (not quietly enough) "We're surrounded". In fact, we were... Everyone there seemed to notice us sitting quietly eating our lunch. After my son's azzwholeishobservation, I thought it would be a goodtime to leave. Sometimes kids say the darnedest thingsthat embarass us in the process.
I sincerely hoped it wasn'tone of thosebusinesses with an expanded menu not shown to the burger-eating public. I've heard of some drive-thru places with special menu itemsresembling vegetation rolled incellophane "baggies" and small "rock" collections.
I think I'll OC closer to home and CC in unfamiliar places or those I know to be "unfriendly" farther from home. The Taco Bellnear there didn't seem to have the same clientele, but I know some people workingin the nearby McDonalds. They've told meabout co-workers intimately familiar with the penalties for carrying CC without a permit and the posession/distribution of controlled substances.
Think about the possibility next time you go to McDonalds. The "kid" taking your order or assembling your burger may have been a recent guest of the Commonwealth because he was also in the habit of CCing a pistol without going through the trouble of getting turned down for a CHP (because of multiple felony convictions).
I neverthought aboutthe Commonwealth's legal system as having a revolving door, but I guess it does. An hourly(rather than a salaried manager) McDonalds employee without a felony record is as common as one with a college degree.
Profoud apologies for falling off the Topic Train here...
