What is the law about carrying extra magazines? Do they have to be open carried like a gun or can I cover with my shirt and
only OC the gun?
only OC the gun?
Tell that to your local jailer or corrections officer. Please tell us how that goes. There is no law in Nevada regulating the carry of ammunition, feeding devices, etc.
Confused? Is there a law in NV about the # of mags of rounds carried? Or are you saying they cannot be carried into a corrections facility (which is understandable)?Tell that to your local jailer or corrections officer. Please tell us how that goes.

I was simply responding to "no law....regulating the carry of ammunition".Confused? Is there a law in NV about the # of mags of rounds carried? Or are you saying they cannot be carried into a corrections facility (which is understandable)?

2. “Firearm” means any device designed to be used as a weapon from which a projectile may be expelled through the barrel by the force of any explosion or other form of combustion.
Nope, there aren't any laws, in Nevada, regarding the carry of extra magazines, jailor or not.
Of course other laws apply, specifically where you can carry a firearm or where you can't carry concealed.
But in regards to ammunition, and magazines, no restrictions on how, how much or where on your person, you carry.
This was not one of them, though.Grape Shot has a few times over the years got caught exercising his knowledge of Nevada gun laws.
Thanks.
I will choose to carry my extra mags as I please.
I did not mean for this question to turn into a debate.
As the after action debriefing went -I carry two extra mags whenever I'm armed. Honestly, mostly to balance the weight of the gun, although they may come in handy for other things. I don't really expect to "need" 52 rounds. It's also a good conversation starter!
You basically can't post anything here without it turning into a debate. You sorta get used to it after a while. I make a game of it, who's gonna respond, and what are they gonna say. Pretty predictable for the most part. I probably just started a debate.......
--snipped--
Is that debatable?
Hopefully our word and sacred honor. IMHO the two are joined at the hip.Sure. What isn't?
As the after action debriefing went -
Why did you shoot him 52 times?
Ans: That's all of the ammunition I had.
Is that debatable?
This was not one of them, though.
Reread post #6, wherein I clearified what was said.
Thanks for playing.
Grapeshot is one of the reasons that I hardly visit this site...
