Canada follows Great Britain and consideres for self-defense reform legislation

The Harper government has re-introduced legislation that gives citizens more leeway to make arrests and also aims to simplify “overly complex” laws related to self-defence and defence of property. . . Under the new law, those who come under attack or who are threatened with force may take reasonable action to protect themselves.
