Howdy Folks!
Just an aside; we have a driver at our location who was bitten by a dog, and the owners claimed it is a nice dog that would never do such a thing. Meanwhile, I've seen the bite and the employee submitted a workman's comp claim. The employee also notifed the local police and animal control got involved. The dog owner will be in court soon over that incident.

But as to the topic:
I ain't choosing up sides here because I ain't got no dog in this fight. (Oh, sorry about that pun folks!!)

But I have a simple question I don't see talked about here thus far, or may have missed it.
Does the community in question have a "leash law"?

Don't know about back east, but most communities around these parts require all dogs to be leashed at all times.
(except on your own 'fenced' property).

Does anybody know if the community in question have a leash law in effect at the time of this incident?

Blessings,
M-Taliesin

For a dog to be "under restraint" as required in this section, it must be controlled by a leash, which shall not be more than eight feet long, on or within a vehicle being driven or parked on the streets, or within the property limits of its owner or keeper.
