Belly Band Holsters

can any1 recommend a belly band holster? i normally carry at my small of my back but most my jeans are low rise and kinda sag down a bit so its getting tough to conceal. i figured a belly band holsters will help keep my firearm close to my body even with sitting/bending...looking for a left handed one designed for small of back!

Most belly bands have two pockets for either left or right handers. You can stick what ever else in the other one. As for small of the back, just buy a regular one and when you wear it have the pockets in your back instead of the front.

I have a Galco belly band that I use when I'm jogging. I have a 3-inch 45 auto and it keeps it snug in the small of my back. Seems to work very well. They come in tan and black.

I have one, and don't particularly suggest them, because of the need to tear is apart and stitch it back up to adjust carry angle.

For that application, I would instead suggest an adjustable hybrid holster. There are hundreds of types available. A friend of mine manufactures them as well. http://hhholsters.highwire.com/ I am not associated with him professionally, but I bring him up because I believe his product would well suit your needs, he's one of the cheaper makers out there, and his products are of good quality, containing US materials only. I'm sure many others are also just as good and just as cheap, I just don't know so much about them since I so rarely IWB carry.

If you do go with a belly band, I can tell you that mine is a Galco. Definitely well made, but not useful enough to bring out very often, because I only use it for good concealment, and it doesn't give me the angle I want.

I have and use a "bulldog" belly-band holsters that I use while working; where deep concealment is necessary. For the price of the holster (around $20) it works great does what it was supposed to do, keeps the weapon (keltec pf9) in place all day even with alot of movement. I wear mine set up for crossdraw with extra mag on strong side, takes a little practice to get used to but with enough practice I can draw this almost as fast as carrying strongside OTW. yeah i currently have a crossbread supertuck its just that my jeans kinda lowrise so i print like crazy and my back is abnormally curved (it curves inwards too much at my lower back) so i figured if there was a way to keep my firearm stuck to my back, it would virtually be impossible to see...ill look into the galco band though!

for those of you that have the galco band, can it be used left handed around the 7-8'clock position? is it comfortable for all day wearing? i will be wearing an undershirt then the bellyband, and then my main shirt.

You can place a belly band anywhere you want around your waist.

But again, the trick is that you won't be able to adjust the carry angle. You can also adjust which hand will be used to draw by simply reversing which side is outside and which side is in.

Cmofortable all day? Not really. In order to remain secure, at least for me, it has to stay tight. It feels especially good when it's time for it to come off. On the plus side, it doesn't move around much at all when paired with a belted pair of pants on top. This would mean a lot more for me if it kept my Glock in a better position to reduce printing.

You mileage may or may not vary. I will say, if you want one in light of the info in this thread, you may as well get one. There will be times, perhaps regularly, where it could be handy for you if you want minimally printing IWB carry without resorting to mexi carry.
