...A good 44 mag revolver is hard to beat.
Based on my research, CORBON's numbers are a bit on the tame side as far as factory loads go. The numbers from the Underwood Ammo rounds I have ordered are:Looks like a nice pistol.

When you get your ammo run some of them over a chronograph and post the velocities you get.
...licking my chops and although no one here cares, I'll keep updating.
For some of us, just because we aren't commenting doesn't mean we aren't following the pending build with quite some interest.
Imho, Buffalo Bore is the best after Underwood for 460Rowland.
Midway has 460Rowland in stock.

Iirc, Georgia Arms also sells 460Rowland for abit less for those that don't reload.
I have yet to kill anything with 460Rowland other than a few yotes and one cooperhead.
Bazooka brothers makes an AR upper for 460Rowland.
BOO HOOO none of my 1911's will work with the 460 conversion kits :uhoh:
Best price I've seen - from several sources - is $999.00 + $30.00 shipping. All in all, not a bad price for a well made 1911.
Under 50yrds, head shot and double lung, neither bullet was recovered. Thanks! I've considered Buffalo Bore, but I figure I better get the hottest loads if I'm paying top dollar. If you don't mind me asking, where was the kill shot on the 'yotes and from what distance, and can you describe the damage? Also what bullets were you shooting?
Sounds like a great excuse for a new weapon!
Which 1911s do you own?
Sounds like things are coming together.

255gr HC from Underwood. http://www.underwoodammo.com/460Rowland255grainghcfnboxof20.aspx which happens to be in stock.
The firearms was Springfield Armory longslide.
My EDC is either SA limited 45 super or a G20 (10mm) or G21 45super..
My Coonan's have been set aside for the kids.
