:eek:Kinda leaning towards a glock in one of those calibers. Performance seems close and better then 9mm, 40S&W and 45ACP. I also think the Compensated models are worth the price. Can't decide what Caliber.:cuss:

Unless you reload, go .357Sig. While not common, enough LEOs use the round to have ammo on shelves. The 10 is much less common though probably the better round in most ratings. I know my contacts at Virginia State Police love their .357Sig.

Buy a Glock 20 then buy a conversion barrel in .357 Sig so you have both!. You can also get a conversion barrel in .40S&W if you like. And then there's the .22 kit for the G20, and you can also get a conversion barrel to 9x25 if that's your cup of tea. (Yes I love my G20).

Personally I like the 10mm over the .357sig. If it was a .357 magnum I might say other wise... honestly not sure.
But if you can get the 10mm in a good loading with the right ammo its an amazing round. I've been considering switching my glocks over.

Depends on what you want to do with it. Performance is not close, with full power 10 ammo, usually not found on the shelf at a gun shop.

I wouldn't carry a compensated .357 or 10mm for self defense.

Walmart sells .357 sig, but not 10mm.

I say get a smith wesson 10mm revolver. That way you can shoot both .40 s&w and 10mm.

Don't forget .50 GI!

Lets see, you can get:

10mm, 550$

.40 S&W, 151$

.357 Sig, 151$

.22 lr, 250$

9x25 Dillon, 105$

.50 GI, 550$

6 different calibers, for around 1800$?

Thats some not-too-shabby variety for one frame.

.357 SIG and get yourself a conversion barrel for .40 S&W. .357 SIG and 10mm can both be difficult to find, but you won't have that problem with .40 S&W.

I'm going to assume here (stand back)...

So, what have you shot? Have you rented a 357Sig caliber gun or a 10mm and shot them?

I'm assuming you have. Which one do you like? Which gun/caliber combo most appeals to you?

You can get ammo. I recommend these folks for 10mm and they also have some great prices on 357Sig (practice rounds) - http://georgia-arms.com/10mm-1.aspx

1000 rounds of 357Sig for basically ~$17/box with shipping.

1000 rounds of 10mm for $400

Yes they are...

Yes, they are very good from my experience.

You can find many reviews online.

Only downside is the shipping cost more for our region but right now for the month of July they are offering free shipping (For WA it's got to be more than $1000). So figure to save around $45-80 off shipping.

So on average a case of ammo is going to cost you around $15-$20 per case to be shipped to WA.

During the ammo shortage they had the same Speer 100gr frangible 357Sig practice ammo for $200 per case ($10 per box) - bought 6 cases - got me through the rough parts of 2007-2009. I'm hoping it'll come back down. It's right now at $300 per case.

Yes

They are also running low on 45ACP brass and is offering a $50 rebate if you send in 1000 brass cases of 45ACP - once fired.

We do offer a brass credit program at Georgia Arms. Our Brass Credit Program is provided for regular Georgia Arms customers, not for buyers of other brands of ammunition. Please call with calibers and quantities for details.

I'll bet you'll get more capacity with .357 than 10mm. If you consider their performance about the same, then why not go with more rounds?

I don't think so. The .40 is just a shortened 10mm, and the .357 SIG is created by necking down the .40; same cartridge base in all three.

I actually like to refer to my .40 as the 10mm Kurz just to mess with people.
