Why didn't someone carrying in that Texas Wal-Mart interviene to stop that mass shooting?

In the case of a active shooter? Hell Yes! But the truth is it would be impractical. The person would have to get the right gun, the right ammo, as well as trying to remove the gun lock. The best option is personal responsibility, and the nads to be prepared, after all the courts have made it...

Why didn't someone carrying in that Texas Wal-Mart interviene to stop that mass shooting?

If the victims had not relied on police, or armed citizens might they have stood a much better chance of survival than relying on a stranger?

Self defense is an individual responsibility, as soon as people learn not to count on us who do carry, and the police the better. Not everybody should carry, or want to, but don't expect me to stick my neck out for you.

    how to fix walmart

I stopped spending 4 months ago, last straw was watching door greeter, and LP abuse a elderly black lady bringing her to tears. They stopped her cart full of groceries, scanned every single item only to find she did not steal anything.

    how to fix walmart

One of Walmart's successful goals was/is to put small business out of business. This is where we come in, when we support small business it allows to those owners to offer their services to more than just us gun owners. Every time a small business goes down the tubes many people in the community...

Alien Gear Holster Company attacks open carry

OCIng while marketing products, and supporting OCing is two different thangs. Alien made it clear they do not support OC, they will not ever get any of my business. You are welcome to support whoever you wish, but don't blow smoke up our butts, we know better.

FL man killed under ‘stand your ground’ provisions over handicapped parking space.

Florida limits citizen arrest to felonies or very serious crimes, NOT parking infractions. Simply saying "Hey, you are parked in a handicap" I would go along with. BUT standing at the women's car window berating her, as was reported by a witness is against the law. This case is not how you are...

FL man killed under ‘stand your ground’ provisions over handicapped parking space.

No sense going back and forth, personal space. Who was confronting another in their personal space. I agree on the self defense, but disagree on the behavior leading up to it. My last words are leave the job of the police to the police, carrying a firearm is not an excuse to play cop. People who...

FL man killed under ‘stand your ground’ provisions over handicapped parking space.

Just because a person is a gun owner, does not mean they should get a pass when they act like a complete idiot. The man had a history of starting arguments, AND either displaying his weapon, or verbally producing it. This IS a problem with a small number of conceal carry permit holders that...

FL man killed under ‘stand your ground’ provisions over handicapped parking space.

Pointing it out, and arguing, and badgering is disorderly conduct. He could have just pointed it out, and walked away, instead he engaged in a argument that he started. He does not deserve to be in prison, but people who carry must not use the firearm as a bolster to act like fools.

    Hamburg Wal-Mart. OC'er tresspassed from ALL Wal-Marts.

A business owner/private property can ban people, not carrying firearms. While it may seem like banning firearms, it is not, firearms are inanimate objects and have no ability to obey a ban, they go where they are carried. People are banned because they carry, it is more a political statement...

FL man killed under ‘stand your ground’ provisions over handicapped parking space.

He should not have put himself in that situation in the first place. Hard to tell if this will be overturned on appeal, I hope so. While the guy was clearly guilty of disorderly conduct, which precluded the incident, he IMO was in fear for his life. This is a lesson for all who carry, use the...

Threatening with a Gun vs. Shooting at Someone, There are different legal standards for the two actions ... Prof. Eugene Volokh’s Conspiracy

Another reason OC makes sense. No need to brandish a firearm, the person without good intentions can clearly see a firearm. Funny how a good many CC fanatics think OC is bad but they believe brandishing is a good thing.

    Hamburg Wal-Mart. OC'er tresspassed from ALL Wal-Marts.

I tried to find a video that matched that description but was unable to. I have never been trespassed, though I had been in the past harassed by door greeters, and loss prevention(Walmart wannabe cops). I voiced my concern to corporate, and they have given their store managers the green light to...
