During the rally, I bumped into my old friend Senator Albert Robinson. He said that I should tell anybody that was still worried about any gun control bills getting through this year that he is the Chairman of the Committee on Military Affairs and Public Protection and that is the committee that all gun bills go to in the Senate. He would not allow a hearing for any bill that added any restrictions on gun owners and was not absolutely consistent with the 2nd Amendment. Without a hearing, they never get to the floor for a vote. I can assure you that Sen. Robinson is an honorable and reliable man. He wouldn't say anything like that unless he meant it. That makes two very powerful men in the Senate, Robinson and Damon Thayer that are saying, RELAX, we got this covered. By the way, Albert is up for reelection this year. If you or any friends or family live in Bath, Estill, Jackson, Laurel, Menifee or Powell County, tell them that Albert Robinson is a friend of ours and we don't want to lose him.
Senator Robinson does not need any corrections about the 2nd Amendment from me, you or anyone else and I would not presume to correct him. If you would read more carefully, you would see that there are no quotation marks in my post. They look like this (" "). My post was not a direct, word for word quotation of Senator Robinson's words, only a paraphrasing of those words and their meaning as used by any reasonable and intelligent person. I think everyone except you got that meaning. His remarks had nothing to do with his overall understanding of underlying facts. Those words only relayed his intended and planned actions with his committee. I, for one, understood them perfectly and appreciated his making them clear. Anyone who misunderstands those words can call, email, write a speak personally to Senator Robinson themselves. He speaks clearly enough for me.
