OP's question was pretty straight forward and should've merited a pretty straight forward answer without him having to provide chapter and verse if he didn't feel the need at this moment. Yet, I have to agree with logunowner 1000%. What's the point in having a forum where we're supposed to help each other promote the idea of open carry when the same handful of people have nothing better to do than split hairs with people's posts...which discourages others from posting and/or possibly makes people leave never to come back?
quote: stl: Thanks for your opinion. I'm trying, in part, to roll back legislation, but your off topic judgement is noted. unquote
quote: mcbeth: I did not provide an opinion .. just facts :dude:. What is the primary law or top one that you are trying to roll back or get repealed? unquote
do not shoot those who cynically ask a question(s) to provide the proper response to an ambiguously posted query...
sorry, we are aware there are legislative members (pick a state, any state or nationally) who have pet projects and w/o the foggiest idea what the OP's subject matter is, it is difficult to provide guidance/opinions/approaches as each would be tailored specifically to individual or like minded legislators. (which McBeth pointed out a viable methodology to accomplish)
further, unless you have sucked up to, thru ,and have built credibility through the legislator's senior staff, you won't get get anything in front of the legislator...
now if the OP is taking the lead and attempting to institute a MO grassroots organization w/themselves as leader that is a viable exercise also.
