Liberalism almost always has the opposite effect of it's intended purpose.
Define your term, please. What do you mean by liberalism?

There is a lot of different definitions, but in this day and age, I liken it to big government, heavy regulations, and the thought that people can't be trusted to make their own way without big brother holding their hand.
Thanks, just wondering. But since both parties exhibit this, not separated by degree but by particulars, wouldn't all politicians be "liberals".
Most politicians are progressive.

Again, define your term.

That's good to know as I did not know that because Guns Galore insists on running me through NICS. Bastiges.Wrong....in Michigan, with a Michigan CPL, you are EXEMPT from the NICS check if it was issued on or after Nov 22, 2005.

http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/nics/nicsnewbie question, what is NICS?
from the web site "The National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS, is all about saving lives and protecting people from harm—by not letting guns and explosives fall into the wrong hands. It also ensures the timely transfer of firearms to eligible gun buyers."
this seems to be working REALLY well huh?
Stop with the logic and facts! They don't make me "feel" good! And they don't make other people do what I want to tell them to do!Here's a question no one, absoultely 0% of people supporting gun laws will be able to answer..I promise.
Can you show me one (1) law, just one (1) law that has EVER prevented a criminal or convicted felon from buying or possessing a gun?
You cant, no one can, because there is no law that will ever be made that will stop someone from owning a firearm, why, because when you buy a stolen gun from a thug in their living room the government doesnt even know it happened. Criminals know they cant pass a background check, they know they will be denied a legal gun purchase, thats why they buy stolen guns, because there is no one to stop them from buying it. So how does having NICS or any other law stop it?
Some people seem to be so worried about a felon having a gun legally that they forget its already easier for them to buy a stolen gun, the only thing you are doing by allowing them to buy a gun legally is promoting the economy and if the gun is used in a crime you can trace it back to who bought it. The arguement about not allowing a criminal to legally buy a gun because they shouldnt have guns is asinine because you are looking completely past the fact that THEY ALREADY BUY GUNS.
