It isnt, and its not meant to be. Its not even a Springfield.

The HS2000 (Hrvatski Samokres (Croatian Pistol)), or XD (X-treme Duty) are a series of semi-automatic pistol that are polymer-framed and striker-fired. Manufactured in the city of Karlovac, Croatia by HS Produkt (formerly I.M. Metal), the Springfield Armory XD is the marketing name for the weapon, which is licensed and sold in the US by Springfield Armory, Inc.[2]
My bad. When I say "Springfield" I mean the all metal Springfield Armory Mil-Spec....

I'm no hippie. And that .45 is sweet. (Look oak, it's "Mil Spec"!)

Maybe we could modify the rules for .45s? Instead of golf balls we could use bowling balls.

At least in WWII the contracts were fulfilled. Imagine WWI, being a pilot and not having any guns on your plane because the American Contractors never completed their contracts!

I feel singled out and discriminated against I am calling Rev. Jessie Jackson :D

Mr. Jackson will reassure you that the .45 ACP round plays havoc on a golf ball. And, thus, golfers who prefer to play with a Model 1911, must bring extra balls to replace the ones that get too banged up to continue in the game.

OK -I can teach a golfing course with .45 ACP, but only if done from a Glock 21, a Springfield Model 1911 or Springfield XD-45, or Colt Model 1911. Any other Model 1911 pistols must be inspected by the Yellow Cat to insure that they are genuine Model 1911 pistols.

I have two 1911's and both are the real deal. No firing pin safety's, no external extractors and most important, no plastic.

Ah, further confirmation that 9mm is best for playing games and .45 ACP for destruction of the intended target! ;)

If you were a serious firearms owner, practiced in the ancient and mysterious ways of Gunkata, you would be free from the Caliber Myths.

Ask all the dead American soldiers in WW2 who were shot with a 9mm. Oh nuts, you can't because some Nazi with a sissy round killed them.
