On topic OC'd around here & there all good. T-Bell is still one of my favorite OC hang outs. Good (junk)food. Nice staff :)

same here our local Taco Bell is very OC friendly (refer to my previous post about the manager sticking up for me) cept the bad part is they tore that building down for a remodel so I wont have taco bell for a month or so :(

I been OC'ing all over here in Davisburg without a problem. Food castle to Kroger and all around no problems for the last 5 months. People really do not even notice that I can tell. Just the way it should be. Just a normal day.

First time OCing in a larger public place! OC'd at Mejier in Wixom/Novi. Only stopped in to get some ink for my printer. At least a few people noticed. No issues. :)

Congrats! When you're ready to give Twelve Oaks Mall a go (or any other large public place you would like to have company in), PM me. I work in Novi, 8-5 on weekdays, and have OC'd at the mall several times for errands, then lunch at the food court. We can stroll around a bit and have lunch together.

On topic, OC'd today grocery shopping in Pontiac and at Home Depot in Auburn Hills. No issues.

OCed today at Walmart and Home Depot in Dearborn. And yesterday, at Enterprise uniform, Detroit Hardware, and Dollar General all in Detroit. No problems, no issues.

Had an employee at Home Depot approach me while I was checking out and he asked me to settle a bet he was having with the security guard over the legality of OCing. The security officer was under the impression that if you have a CPL then the handgun had to be concealed. I was then asked the exact same question 30 minutes later by a different security officer patrolling in Walmart’s parking lot while putting my groceries into my vehicle. He too has his CPL and was told he had to keep it concealed. I enlightened him and told him about this website. That reminds me, I need to make more copies of trifolds just to keep in my trunk.

While in Walmart, several people in passing either marveled at my two OCed handguns or asked why I was carrying two guns but it was more out of curiosity than rancor. Despite the evil that took place in Norway, no one began diving into coolers for concealment or cowering behind isle endcaps. In fact one little Hispanic boy became excited when he realized I was OCing the twins and pointed it out to his grandfather.

OC'ed last week in the dry cleaner in Brighton then into Kroger for a newspaper. After that, gas at Costco then into Costco for about an hour getting a few things. A couple looks but no comments until I was paying for my items. The young woman working asked me " are you some kind of cop or something"? I chuckled and said " no, just a law abiding citizen exercising my rights". An older gentleman in line stated to her that it was legal to carry as if to come to my defense. That's fine, at least he knew. She went on to make the statement that she was not comfortable with people doing that. There are a lot of crazy people out ther that shouldn't have guns. I politely informed her that, that is the reason "I " carry one. No mention was that Costo has a no gun policy.

I don't understand why people think this. If you get a permit to drive a tractor are you only allowed to drive tractors? If they actually do know a gun can be open carried why would you think having a CPL forces you to never do that?

No issues.

OC'ed a number of places this weekend. No issues.

While at Caribou Coffee in Royal Oak, a couple young guys sitting at tables next to each other noticed I was carrying while I was standing in line and seemed to start a debate about the issue. While waiting for the coffee, I specifically looked at one of them and he quickly looked away - I guess maybe he thought staring was rude.

I was there probably an hour before that.

I almost went down there today, rats.

I don't go there as often as I would like. Lots of Canadians and other foreigners. I hope I'm helping to counter the atrocious anti-gun crap and American stereotypes they get in their domestic media, with my OC handgun and my hands full of shopping bags. :)
