I just saw someone on Youtube posting non stop about how loaded open carry of a handgun is illegal in idaho. is that true ?
I have been asked to leave my gun in my vehicle three times in the last 4-5 months. Twice at the bank and once at Costco. Although I have been to Costco while oc several times before and since. I just try and keep a "low profile" while entering (which is where I was asked the once). Generally if you keep up your appearance and remain confident no one bothers you. I have received more positive comments than negative. Actually only one negative comment at a yard sale. The lady running the sale said "I dont think anyone is going to come to a yard sale and start killing anyone". I responded "Not with me here they wont." Shortly after the Colorado movie theater shooting happened. I wonder how many of the patrons that went to see Batman thought the same thing? I wanted to tell the lady "well, as long as you dont think it will happen I guess everything is bond to be O.K.. I think I'll start taking you every where with me and just ask you what you think before I get out of out of my truck. Or maybe just get you number and call you every morning, tell you what my agenda is and ask how you feel about it?" Her husband was standing behind her when she made her snotty comment and didn't say a thing. I was tempted to start bitch slapping him and say "How about this lady? Did you think this was going to happen?"

Shari's seems to be OC friendly.
Idaho seems to be a very OC friendly state. It looks to me like you have an OC friendly ribbon of road right until you hit Oklahoma line Clay, stay safe on your trip.
