The KelTec is a nice little gun. The J-frame is better, of course. But if she prefers the KelTec, then let her get, and keep being, good at using it. She's way ahead of the curve by carrying something that is potentially capable of applying deadly force should the time ever come, God forbid.
My guess is that she just might move to the revolver over time. Perhaps more so if it is a steel gun vs. an Airlight/Airweight. The light guns are a pain to shoot.
Good luck. You've done well.

My wifes concerns have always been size, weight, and recoil. I've really wanted her tocarryher S&W Lady Smith, Airlight, in .38 +P, but she always chooses the Kel Tec P3AT when she carries, and I'm just glad she carries something.
