Change in Concealed Carry Law Did Not Drive Violent Crime in Ohio Cities, Study Shows

The Cincinnati/Dayton region has seen a spike in the possession of "Glock switches" and Glock pistols so equipped the last year or so. According to a fed/local PD task force, anyhow.

    RC § 2923.15 is unconstitutional

Nothing better than a 41 page court document replete with footnotes to share here for some light reading! (Yes that was a sarcastic response to your post, color of law.) Does this even matter unless/until the U.S. Supreme Court gets hold of the ruling and decides whether or not to weigh in?

Courts, encounters with locking up pistols while visiting.

Annoying, perhaps, but nothing unlawful about the deputy watching you so closely, correct? Sometimes a badge makes someone act a little "badge heavy". Not much to be done unless there are multiple complainants.

    RC §§ 2923.12 and 2923.16 are unconstitutional

The Ohio Statehouse? Yes. The Ohio Governor's mansion? I have no idea.

    RC §§ 2923.12 and 2923.16 are unconstitutional

You have any suggestions for a course of action? Maybe an open carry walk into the Ohio Governor's mansion, or the Statehouse?

RICHMOND OC DINNER – PLAY TAPS

That's what sometimes happens when we think "one of these days, I need to... whatever".

    Issue while voting

I hope someone with helpful knowledge for you, specific to this situation, will drop by and post up. The reason I am participating is that a friend of mine had a slightly similar run in with a northern Kentucky poll worker yesterday. Well, actually, she kept calling herself the polling...

Governor Eric Holcomb signs CC bill

In Ohio at least, I met many people who preferred open carry, but got the license because of that transport restriction CoL mentioned. Loading and holstering the gun while exiting the car? Then reversing the procedure when entering the vehicle again? That gets tiresome eventually.

    N.J Police Will Enforce Ban

Color of law, don't you want to dampen your golf shaft vibration? :D

SCOTUS Rules Police Cannot Search Homes Without Warrants in the Name of 'Community Caretaking'

Yes hammer6, I did wonder about the legality of it. After asking our city law director, and getting very little explanation, didn't feel very confident. Guess I could have asked a smarter law director someplace. Also I knew it was common practice in many other cities around here.

SCOTUS Rules Police Cannot Search Homes Without Warrants in the Name of 'Community Caretaking'

As color of law knows, my career was in the fire/EMS racket. Working with the police, we sometimes did "welfare checks" based on reports from neighbors or relatives that someone in a home hadn't been seen or heard from in days. Our role was to make forcible entry and of course render medical aid...

Chauvin Guilty on all three counts

Satire from The Onion is pretty much anything goes. They seem to make fun of almost everything currently prominent in the news. I'm pretty sure Mark Twain would be a fan if he was around today.

    Florida Republicans blocking pro-gun legislation

One gun rights guy here in Ohio calls such Republicans at our statehouse as "squishees". I believe that refers to the makeup of their spinal columns.
