OC for ME

Both deputies look like they have hit the funnel cake vendor a time or two too many times.
After many years of open carrying it finally happened. A negative encounter which was with a customer in line at Wal-Mart.
...Then he said I have a CCW and I do not carry in Walmart or the post office. I told him it is illegal to carry in the post office. He said you’re telling me it is illegal to carry in the post office and not in Walmart? I said that would be correct.
At this point being an ambassador for open carry faded away and I have to apologize to my fellow ambassador OCers but niceness and professionalism went out the door. He once again said in a firm and somewhat loudly you are endangering everyone here. I replied with a respectfully you are full of ****!!!...
I believe the CCW remark was bogus as it appeared he had no idea what the gun laws are...
I don't know. I mean, I think I know the gun laws pretty well, but was taught an entirely different set of them by a CCW instructor with his own agenda. :banghead:
Oh, and read the riot act by another self-proclaimed CCW holder. So I think it is safe to say that misinformation is alive and well in the CCW scam.
Agree to bad we have so many CCW instructors willing to do as you say instruct with their on agenda having nothing to do with the laws. On the other hand good we do have a few such as MAC702 willing to instruct within and teach the laws as they are written.
Open carrying At Bonnie Springs 3 days with our family reunion. Restaurant, old town, zoo and motel no problem. Event organizer said a few years ago there was owner's who had different opinions on allowing legal firearms. Said that they are now definitely pro 2nd Amendment. Food was very good. Bbq ribs are really good.
OC'd for about two hours this morning at Silver Springs park (Green Valley) along the Pitman Wash trails and the paved lane that overlooks the wash. Nobody said a word, even though I interacted with a LOT of people. For some this might've been the first time they've seen me OC. The topic of guns never surfaced, but the image definitely registered. What they saw was a man, who is well-known and well-liked, friendly, neatly-dressed...who happens to be armed. And that is the whole point.
With congress seeking to limit our 2A rights next week, I think it's important to project a positive image among the sheeple that law-abiding gun-owners are everywhere. In fact one of them might be your next-door neighbor.
If you're in Green Valley we ought to meet up sometime. Just imagine two well-dressed armed dudes (well, one well-dressed man and a younger guy who doesn't dress like a thug).
Sounds good. I'm a dog-walker and most like me are up EARLY to beat the heat (got an older dog so we're outta there by 8:30/9:00am). I hear Monday's gonna be a scorcher.
Have been open carrying for about 3 weeks. Have had no issues at any of the places we've been.
Most in/around SE Henderson: Circle K's, Target, Walmart, Albertsons, Taco Bell, Jack in the Box, Pep Boys, Saver's, Goodwill (North Vegas), Charleston Outlet, Deseret Industries thrift store (North Vegas), Lowes, Home Depot.
