There have been some recent threads being locked in Michigan because there were deemed "off topic" when the conversation shifted. No where in the rules does it say a thread cannot follow a natural path away from the OP. Why is it paramount a thread not explore additional lines off thinking in a natural way? Must every thread be cut abruptly and a new thread started if the topic shifts?
The only rule I see about "on topic" doesn't seem to apply to my scenario. Please explain.
(8) KEEP IT ON-TOPIC: All gun rights discussions not directly related to open carry should take place in the "General Discussions" forum and topics that are not related to gun rights at all should take place in "The Lounge". Please police your own posts before posting them and help keep OCDO strong and focused.
