Did they email back, if so post it.
This was my email to the owner...
>I was in the evening of Friday 8/14/09. I was browsing for my next firearm
>purchase. In conversing with your employees I mentioned that I had
>recently been in some legal trouble with carrying in a park. I also
>mentioned that I was working with opencarry.org for support with
>information and member contribution with funds for my legal fees. Before
>I was able to explain any of that your employees proceeded to label anyone
>involved with opencarry.org an idiot, i.e. myself. You have a large
>selection of goods, fair prices, in indoor range that’s close by, and an
>employee that I went to grade school with (Mike T, who was not present
>during this situation) whom I respect and enjoy doing business with. All
>this jeopardized by personal opinion. I was emotionally assaulted,
>humiliated, and betrayed. The two firearms I have purchased from your
>shop are the most expensive of my collection among several accessories. It
>really bothers me that I will no longer be doing any business with you in
>the future as I really liked the shop and respected the folks who worked
>there. My best goes to you and your business but please keep in mind that
>regardless of personal opinion customers should never be treated this way.
>I hope this serves as a learning experience for those involved.
>Thank you,
>Benjamin Eierdam
This was her reply...
I knew of the situation before you emailed. Yes, you should not have been
treated that way. I do have some sympathy for the employee though. We get in
the crossfire with folks who wish to push the envelop on rules and legislatures
asking for my help in changing the rules so that there is no gray area. While I
agree you should not ever need a permit to exercise your rights, carry your gun
open, etc. The reality is not what I "want" but what is perceived to be the
law. I fight daily to keep our rights and myself and staff get pushed from all
directions.
Personally, I am always going to go out of my way to avoid "bad" contact with
law enforcement. I don't have the time or the money to fight. I prefer to take
my fight through legislative channels.
I appreciate you past business and wish you well with your future.
