Woman beaten, stabbed on Dunn County road

May 13, 2011 4:34 p.m. | Menomonie - Two people are under arrest after a 25-year-old woman was found beaten and stabbed on a road in western Wisconsin.

Dunn County Sheriff Dennis Smith said a caller early Wednesday said he had found the woman on a county road in Grant Township. Officers arrived and found the woman, who apparently had been beaten and stabbed.

Two suspects from Ladysmith - a 17-year-old boy and a 21-year-old woman - were arrested. Authorities also located a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Rusk County and apparently was related to the woman's beating.

The victim is in serious condition. Authorities continue their investigation, and formal charges are expected early next week.

Not enough info... There are times when the best trained person who is carrying a firearm would never have opportunity to draw it when assaulted and there are individuals who are simply not mentally prepared to use a weapon in spite of their carrying of one.
We can not use every violent crime to support our position any more than the antis can use every ND/suicide, etc against us.
