Aldi's is coming off the list!

[h=6][/h]a clarification on ALDIS. They removed the sign in Beaver Dam, but the clerk said someone must have tore it down and they were going to re post. Wrote to the corporate and this was the reply...If this was already posted, then sorry I didnt see it here.

Reference: Concern #206473

Dear *******:

Thank you for your email.

ALDI follows the laws of each state in which we operate, including all states' concealed carry laws. In regards to posting signs in stores, ALDI follows the laws of each state in which we operate, and we do not post signs prohibiting weapons in our stores in states that allow concealed carry.

Sincerely,

Holiday Inn express St. Croix Falls. That brings me to a question, hotels, can they post? I thought they couldn't.

They can, just like everyone else. However, as soon as you check in, that is your residence (albeit temporary), so you are able to carry. I'm sure they'll think they can still prohibit you and call the cops (which will probably agree with them, despite what the law actually says).

943.13 (1m) (c) 1. While carrying a firearm, enters
or remains at a residence that the actor does not own or
occupy after the owner of the residence, if he or she has
not leased it to another person, or the occupant of the residence
has notified the actor not to enter or remain at the
residence while carrying a firearm or with that type of
firearm. In this subdivision, “residence,” with respect to
a single−family residence, includes the residence building
and the parcel of land upon which the residence building
is located, and “residence,” with respect to a residence
that is not a single−family residence, does not
include any common area of the building in which the
residence is located or any common areas of the rest of
the parcel of land upon which the residence building is
located.

Polito's Pizza - Stevens Point WI

Politos in Stevens Point is posted. I know they have been for a while now, since CCL became law, but when I was last in there I asked the owners wife why they posted. She said: "Well I believe in gun rights however our insurance makes us put this sign up." She couldn't tell me what insurance company this was but has anyone heard of this before?

Also, does anyone know if they are posted in their other locations? I'll be writing a snail mail letter and an email. If anyone would like to do the same:

kevin@politospizza.com is the contact listed on their website.

960 Main Street
Stevens Point, Wisconsin 54481 is their physical address.

Here is the letter I put together for snail-mail and email. Both have been sent out.

I was just at your Stevens Point location enjoying two slices of your delicious pizza (macaroni & cheese and spinach/tomato/feta) with my son. It is his birthday today (he's 12) and that was his first choice to go for lunch.

I noticed that you posted your business as No Weapons Allowed. Those of us who choose to carry a firearm for personal protection are not the ones you should be concerned about. Criminals do not care nor respect signs or laws but people like I do. Having to disarm and then go into your store makes me feel very uncomfortable.

The Wisconsin Law is set up so that without posting signs stores and corporations are immune from civil liability should a bad situation occur. By posting your store there is no immunity. Here is a direct link to the Wisconsin Law Journal website that contains this information. http://wislawjournal.com/2012/08/29...-need-to-know-about-concealed-carry-immunity/

There are over 125,000 concealed carry holders in Wisconsin as of today. We do not support any business or corporation that does not support our rights as written in the both the state and federal Constitutions.

You might be interested to know that just recently, Marcus Cinema decided to allow the legal carry of firearms in their movie theaters - this happened after the mass shooting in Colorado. You also might be interested to know that, like your business, the theater that the CO. shooter chose was the only one out of seven other theaters that did not allow the legal carry of firearms.

I have already posted about your business's No Weapons sign on the Wisconsin Carry Facebook page (2,558 members) and will be posting on the Wisconsin Open Carry's forum as well. Both of these internet boards reach your potential customers throughout Wisconsin. I hope that you will take down your signs so that we can exercise our rights and eat your wonderful pizza at the same time.

I was at Marcus theaters about 6ish months ago and they didn't have any signs up and a kid in his mid/late 20's was open carrying, no management or staff said anything to him.

This thread is to report stores that don't allow you. If it was for ones that did, it would be HUGE.

I saw Batman Dark Night Rises at the Marcus in New Berlin while open carrying the weekend after the Aurora shooting.

I was reporting that I didn't see the signs because Marcus was listed in the first post.

more in Mauston

Please add

Grays Computer Solutions and Gray Electric LLC to the list, address listed on google as: U.S. 12 Mauston, WI 53948
Their sign says "no concealed weapons allowed", walked in open carrying and was told I had to come back without a weapon. They should have wrote "no weapons" instead of "no concealed weapons"

Their prices are way out of line too. For good computer repair with fair prices and allowed to carry go to Funky Monkey in Tomah. Have carried into their store a few times and they had excellent customer service.
