The text was on the form they had faxed over which (paraphrased) read:

I my name, residing at my street address in city, state and ZIP, am making it known that I am making application to the New Castle County Prothonotary for a license to carry a concealed deadly weapon for the protection of my person, property or both.

How I wrote it above is about how it was published... a little more verbose, but yes... full name, address, city, state and ZIP.

That form is written withsome ambiguity. Although instruction section 1 refers to the newspaper, the true (IMO) intent was the CCDW application when referring to name, address, etc. Look at it closely, I think you'll see that too.
We'll probably disagree on this then... the last sentence is saying (to me) make sure the paper has 35% of the circulation and the ad has your name and address. I'm also taking into account that the original statute is using the news paper notification as an alternative to the prothonotary keeping its own public record of names and addresses.

My newspaper publication only stated my full name and "Dover, Kent County". I suppose that was good enough. They did have my complete address on file, but did not publish it.

Did they publish your street address?
The News Journal most definitely did post the street address as well as the town and state. Not sure of the zip code. Thank goodness most people don't read the public notice section of the paper.

I think the street address is there so your neighbors can call in and say you're a bad person and shouldn't get the CCDW.:banghead:
