what is the best tactical every day pisol in .45 that is made in US

I am looking for a .45 that is made here in the states and has a light rail. I am leaning towars wilson combat cqb with a ten rnd mag , though the kimber warrior sounds nice the ranges near me don't carry either for rent. So help please!!

Honestly, I don't think you could go wrong with a 1911 from any of the top manafactures. FWIW, FBI HRT is using Springfield Operators. (I think its Operators, but I do know its SA's for sure). I just boughta SAMil-Spec a few weeks ago. Its a great gun and I can't even imagine how sweet their top of the line 1911's are.

I've heard a lot of good things about the XD. Personaly though, the plastic guns don't move me.;)

Also, I was wrong above. The FBI HRT uses SA Pros, not Operators.

I started to dislike the 1911 when I was an armorer in Germany. Soldiers tended to loose to many parts when cleaning. The Beretta M9 had less parts, but I learned to hate that gun while in Iraq(it was mainly the mags fault for failures).
